Let's pause here to talk about this book, The Way of Ahriman by Rev. Brian Sharp. Looks enough like a "real" book, even though you may not be into the subject matter, right? Not so fast. Here's its Amazon page.https://kiwifarms.net/attachments/7883339016_5d17ee05f5_o-jpg.116094/
Now this is promising. How about the official description?Publisher: lulu.com (April 13, 2012)
And just to round things out, here's the one and only (1-star!) review:This tome contains the way to comminucation with Father Ahriman. This is Traditional Ahrimanic Satanism, Melek Taus is our Guide and Guardian. He lights our way with the Black Flame of Hell! My God of Freedom is Ahriman, I have his favor!
This customer is the kind of person who shops for self-published Satanist books, and they still said that.I have no idea how old the author is, but this book reads like the semi-coherent ramblings of an angry fifteen year old.
He's trying so hard to be big and bad it's cute.
He misunderstands/misuses phrases and often contradicts himself within the same paragraph.
Personal mythology is stated as historical fact.
A list of demons is included near the start of the book but the information provided on them is virtually non-existant. For most it is literally just a few keywords. What information is given is often downright wrong and misleading. Honestly if he was writing about angels and 'light' orientated deities this would be a prime candidate for Llewellyn Publications, at least they would have maybe provided a proof reader.
The text is riddled with grammatical and spelling errors. Including a profusion of redundant exclamation points which I suspect is an attempt to 'borrow' the feel of Anton Lavey's infamous Satantic Bible. Overall its so badly written I wondered if the author originally wrote it in another language then used Google Translate, it is THAT bad.
There's nothing new here just a rehash of old ideas given a bad-fanfic twist.
I tried to find more on this guy, but he shares a name (and a fake "Reverend" title) with some kind of New Age healer who may or may not also deserve a thread. Or they might be the same guy; who knows? The other guy is in Texas, which is close enough to make this more than a coincidence.
Extra shit: The Way of Ahriman Lulu Page, for anyone who wants to actually pay for content.
