The thing with tiny houses is that they have to be kept immaculately clean and tidy at all times, because even a single cooking pot left out on a bench can effectively make the entire house unusable. Even a single adult can have a hell of a time trying to make one of those glorified boxes livable. A couple with two small children and a distinct tendency towards chaos and garbage hoarding? In less than hour of moving in, the entire place would be on fire because they tried to make themselves a cup of tea.

I honestly don't know what has happened to you Brits. The current generation of Brits would have died from being scared to death if they were alive during the Blitz and had to stay in the underground. You seem to have lost your balls along with your stiff upper lips.

Apart from maybe the Chinese and the Russians , I don't think any of the nations that played a major part in the Second World War, on either side, would face similar experiences as well today. We all got too rich and self-indulgent.

It's a bit like the famous Francis Ford Coppola quote about making Apocalypse Now - "We had too much money and too much equipment, and little by little we went insane."
