The risdiplam has certainly extended her shelf life. I'm sure it won't complete arrest the progression of her SMA but has probably slowed it considerably, leaving her grumbling along in her current state for a while.
Will she live to 80? very much doubt it. could she push into her 40s? 50s? maybe possible.

But she is still a sitting duck for respiratory infections, and aspiration pneumonia could also get her based on her difficulties with swallowing. Her lung function before the pregnancy wasn't great, I'm sure it's no better now.

Two things:
First: It would have been 100% cuter and more appropriate (and less gross) to have had matching Mommy and Me dresses with Ari.
Its not like she can get away with that for more than a few more years.
Second: (and more important in my eyes) Alex always calls that thing 'Ari's water bottle', except it seems like it's usually filled with something that is not water...
I know I'm veering into Redditard territory, but she always has that bottle with her and anything but water can't be good for her teeth.

I know others have wondered exactly this, but I am SO CURIOUS about the inside of that house. When she sent Ari off to live there without her, the whole reason given was that her parent's house isn't accessible or too cluttered or something so she HAD to stay back with the Smiths.

So she just lives on the porch all day and someone comes and carries her in at night? What happens when winter comes?

And how do you have a child with SMA and NOT make it a priority to have at least a semi-accessible house - just so they can visit comfortably! I'm baffled by all this.

I know the answer has to do with Alex's family being messy as shit alcoholics, but good god.

Any indoor content at her parents' house has been filmed very close-up, so you see nothing except the person, a plate, or whatever. Given that she and Ari also apparently live outside now, the inside must be even worse than we've heard.

The classy-looking male specimen is her father, and I'll point out that her food at the Smith house was always on a real plate.
