It sounds like he's basically given up already, I've lived with my own parents for a while after graduating high school and I understand the frustration.I assumed he lived with his parents because he's 25 and never had a job in his life and lives off government disability checks for his rampant autism.
At least they let him have some kind of escapism or recreation. My parents expected me to go to college or at least get a job and pay rent after high school. Definitely made moving out look like an attractive option, although it didn't happen overnight.I'd bet it's kind of a self perpetuating issue. The reason he acts so spergy and desperate is probably specifically because his family doesn't pay much attention to him or have much hope for him. They just figure "Great, Alex is off in his room on the computer like usual, so we can ignore him".
I'm not sure what's going on with the family overall but they seem like one of those types that are dysfunctional and very emotionally distant behind the scenes.
I'm pretty sure Alex is reading this thread but honestly I have been in a similar situation, save the internet drama.
