Trainwreck Alicia Dougherty / Dougherty Dozen - Alcoholic foster mother of 10, who makes millions and wastes all of it, punishes children for not being in content, returns kids she can't put online, uses a therapy method that has killed at least 6

There's often something off about her visually, I can't put my finger on it, like she's in the middle of transitioning into some uncharted and unknown person of gender(or is it sex?). I'm not being mean or calling her ugly/mannish, there's just something strange going on and it's been going on for some time.
Some of it is the extremely fake hair color and she draws her brows in with a dark orange pencil and they're too far apart. It makes her look like a clown.

I was going to say "she's ginger and chose black eyeliner" as a joke but it's really true. Orange looks like a bold color to work around, many gingers have fuckall eyelashes and brows and have to learn to draw on ones that look good, they can't just reach for the kohl and call it a day.

One of the kids left?
I'm hearing that one of the kids left, the girl that was part of the kinship arrangement.
Yeah, that's Neveah. I don't know if she went back to her mom (who's a piece of work but to her credit, she's been trying to get her kids away from Alusha) or into another foster situation. Neveah was always the one kid who didn't want anything to do with the whole Dougherty Dozen circus and reportedly had to be bribed to appear at all.

Jesus, she looks worse than usual.

(From the video "HARLEE’S 5th BIRTHDAY!", posted on 8/9/23)
I'm pretty sure I shot this bitch back in Resident Evil 4.

I don't often end up in Beauty Parlor, the culture here is a lot different than what I'm used to in regular Lolcow threads but this one was short enough to catch my eye. A hell of a read, this woman deserves to have her crimes documented. Thanks for the good morning read.

She's not really doing anything. It's shopping hauls, gross cooking and not much else. I think after the Neveah thing she knew people were looking more closely at her and she's not acting as controversial as she normally would.

I wonder if the 8 Passengers mess has anything to do with it? Family vlogging is in a very bad (well, worse than usual) spotlight right now, and lots of people are getting to say "we told you so." The Franke family had been reported and investigated up and down and had been cleared of everything, but the matriarch and her creepy therapist friend are now sitting in jail without bail. I thought about Alicia when all that news was breaking.

If you're not familiar with this one, googling Ruby Franke, Kevin Franke, 8 Passengers, Connexions Academy, or Jodi Hildebrandt will bring up a lot of info. It's such a mess that it's hard to know where to begin, but, very short story, family vloggers displayed a lot of suspicious behavior on camera. People reported it a lot, they got cleared. Channel disappears from YouTube, mom starts making """therapy""" content with creepy therapist Jodi. Time passes, then one of Ruby's young kids escapes from a window at Jodi's house. He's been starved, is thirsty, and has been restrained with duct tape that's given him open wounds. His younger sister is also in the house. Shit hits the fan. The 911 call from the neighbor is one of the most heartbreaking things I've heard.

There's a subreddit that complies a lot of good information, but consider yourself warned about insane and power-tripping mods.

She'd gotten fairly quiet before the Franke thing exploded so I'm not sure it was that specifically but family bloggers have been taking heat for several months and I'm sure it all contributed. I can't remember how long ago I saw it but there was an interesting story on cnn.com debating whether children of these family channels should start to have some legal protection and have income placed in a trust. I know he's not everyone's cup of tea but the Dad Challenge Podcast does a decent enough surface job keeping tabs on some of the more controversial parents. There's a family I've seen that needs to be raked over the coals more (the Beaston Bunch). Mom is a crunchy MLM shiller, I have no idea what the idiot dad does and she puts their 4 kids front and center.

It's been really interesting to watch the wider world catch up with the family vloggers. Illinois recently passed a law that's intended to ensure that kids get a share of the family social media profits (archive). For years, child stardom has been seen as pretty synonymous with "explotative thing that leads to screwed-up adults," and I wonder if people are finally beginning to see that family vlogging isn't really any different. Maybe people have assumed that parents can't possibly be as exploitative as Hollywood producers, but it's getting hard to avoid the fact that the worst monsters are inside the home.

(Now off to look into the Beaston Bunch-- thanks for giving me a new rabbit hole!)

I somewhat approve of her striking Josh, Josh is a fucking loon and a textbook example of log-off. His stuff is not even snarky he just comes across as someone who kinda hates women tbh.
Retarded take. Idk where the Josh hates women thing comes from. He's never done a video on anyone except for child exploiters. He also criticizes Alicia's lazy piece of shit husband and other men that are exploitative too. She only struck his video so people wouldn't see more of her shitty behavior.

He hates people who exploit and abuse children. He covers family channels because they're a massive problem that he's passionate about. The people exploiting and abusing their children for money are almost exclusively women.

Totally agree. I watched him for a while before he covered this crew and he’s gotten so self-righteous but yeah, he goes hard at the women and basically ignores all the men as if they have zero agency. He is so far up his own ass I don’t believe he gives a shit about any of these kids. He’s making plenty covering them too.

This is from a recent video where Dad Challenge had one of his mods go through ALL of Lushy’s spending last year.

They made a spreadsheet and he goes through it quite thoroughly. It seems the biggest expense for them was £100,000 to get the house connected to the sewage grid so they can ditch the problematic septic tank. Not too glamorous or frivolous, but by God there’s a lot of that

. Thousands and thousands spent on wasted food and extravagant gifts on birthdays and Christmas. She’s obviously not saving ANYTHING for the kids future. I won’t spoil the ending, but the final total is mind boggling.
