True. I mean after all, Dingo cartoons were good shitposting material. This one in particular is the reason why the "important videos" playlist existed during early-to-mid 2010s

It may have been a pointless part of the movie. If I remember right it was experimental to see what they could do with blue screen and puppets and even the people that worked on it admitted that it didn't really work. But that puppet looks better then Lupa any day. His eyes are less crazy.

Better than expected because they did put some effort into research for this. Examples would be bringing up the moment of silence with Carvey in the turtle man constume before filming the movie, and using Director's commentary in various points in the video. I assume that was the work of Filmbrain as he was the editor of the video and he showed in the podcast he did with Allison years ago that he puts in effort with research.

Also they refrenced To Boldly Flee about 22 mins in to say that they thought Master of Disguise was better than that. It came across as a bitter dig that wasn't even as funny as when Doug made fun of TBF in his review of A Christmas Story.

He made another dig at Doug, or at least people that still watch his stuff in his last video too. What is with them still getting mad at CA. I guess it's because the website went down they think it's a win, but who still uses websites for this stuff when you can just watch it on Youtube.

My hypothesis has always been that they’re butthurt over how #ChangeTheChannel played out. It seemed that everything was going wrong for Doug (YouTube channel was bleeding subscribers, the tenth anniversary special was canceled, Pop Quiz Hotshot and the Indiegogo was revealed to be a dumpster fire, producers were leaving the website, JewWario was revealed to have been a predator that CA had harbored for years), and then Marzgurl and Dan Olson gave their perspectives of JewWario, and just when it seemed that Doug would see everything he built over a decade die, and his dreams dashed and being forced to get a real job like the rest of us…he got out of the fire and found life for his career.

And now, all of Doug’s haters feel the need to bring up Doug’s failures every chance they get and any perceived setback is the green light to go for the jugular and end Doug’s career once and for all. Because 2018 and Doug’s rebound caused so much butthurt.

Doug actually fixed the issues, which was interesting. He seems to have pushed Mike Michaud into the background and streamlined the production to what they can actually make / added Twitch streams that seem to pull a good number of viewers. And he went out of his way to boost the female cast members and give them more to do.

I don't think they wanted that, they wanted him to disappear. Allison also hurt the Change The Channel document by adding in pages of her petty grievances mixed together with the serious stuff, which watered it down. I remember her section being absurdly long.

Absolutely, they wanted him to suffer and for it to lead his fans to realize they were backing the wrong horse, leading them instead to support them. But that didn't happen, because aside from a blog on their site, which people had stopped going to at that point, CA ignored it and got back to work. And in that statement, they revealed that JW was the rapist, the man who #CTC tried to vindicate despite knowing he was one, and it came out that they'd removed his victims from the document.

There's also the issue that people find Doug entertaining and them... not so much.

Having both "We weren't allowed to make tributes to JewWario." and "The management covered for a rapist." in the same document was a really stupid move and really showed CTC didn't care about anything except destroying Doug.

Well, the issue was that the general public didn't know that JewWario and "the rapist" were one and the same until someone did analysis of CA's long response. And then Marzgurl and Dan Olson spilled their guts. That's when #ChangeTheChannel fell apart and Doug was able to truly make a comeback.
