Are there any video Games your looking forward to in 2025?

Blood of dawnwalker.

It’s made by the people who made the first three Witcher games, i like the Witcher games. Plus I like how they went with a historical setting, which i prefer to a pure fantasy.

I wish they picked a later timeframe, but maybe that’s in the cards in the future.
I love vampire games so if this turns out to be good I'm getting it too, but I want to see more information about it first.

Probably the only game I want this year is Yakuza Pirate, but I'm not in a hurry to get it as I have too many unfinished Yakuza games as it is. The naval combat looks really fun.

Will Farthest Frontier be out of early access this year? Can't think of anything else to look forward to, tbh.

Yes, I know it's a meme game, but I had fun with other meme games, and this one looks like great fun.
It will probably be fun in the way that Maneater is.

Looking at Steam wishlist (which I chuck lots of stuff on, probably won't get hardly any of it) and only listing things I'm actually sincere about:
Kingmakers

Insect Worlds: A sort of minigame-game, edutainment, about bugs. Looking at world through a bug perspective.

Gilded Destiny: Victoria clone

Espiocracy: Something quite unique. It's a grand strategy game but you explicitly play as a Cold War espionage agency, not a state. The devs are massive autists, it's clear this is very much like MEIOU and Taxes in terms of autism.

Medic: Pacific War: It looks like it will be a piece of shit, but there's very few combat medic/surgeon games (by which I mean, there's none; America's Army, I guess).

MOUSE: P.I. for Hire: Will also probably be a piece of shit

Anno 117: Pax Romana: I think it's kind of outright heinous that they made a classical world Anno game and decided to give it Rome theming instead of Greek theming, you know, that people who LIVED IN CITY-STATES ON .. But Anno 1800 is very good and I'm interested in seeing more of that franchise (I started with 1800).

I'm pretty sure EU5 is planned to release this year so there is that.

Not counting PC ports, remasters and remakes, I've realized that they were half of my list, just goes to show how dead gaming is:

The new Yakuza Pirate Majima game
Fall of an Empire
Pompeii: The Legacy
Strategos
Ninja Gaiden 4
Showa American Story

Lost Soul Aside is coming out? Finally!
It is according to the Gaming in 2025 page on Wikipedia, but it's been delayed before so I wouldn't count on it, especially since it has no release date.

Capcom Fighting Collection 2 if it counts, I've been meaning to check out Rival Schools 2.
Capcom is known to censor their old games but if not then it'll be fun to try that for the first time, I never touched the series.

This one is my most "anticipated". I sometimes get the hankering of playing a fighting game on release to get the full experience. Did the same with Strive and had my fun till the fucking trannies invaded the game and soured the whole thing.
I'm afraid of something like that happening with this too. Tekken had the body type nonsense and Street Fighter goes without saying. This genre is in trouble, but so far it looks good.

Also very nuch looking forward to. Really liked Raging Loop even if I have some misgivings with it, and really want to see another game set in the same world.
Me too, I hope it leads into something else more like Raging Loop. If you played the post-game you know that universe is pretty open for a proper sequel.

Showa American Story
I forgot about this one, definitely interested in it too.

Yeah, all of the meta explanations about what happened is what really got me curious. Well, that and seeing what sort of crazy thing Meiko/Miya becomes. Also kind of hoping Haruaki does an appearance.

Though my understanding is that Raging Loop was made after, so who knows how much will it reference.

I’m actually looking forward to how GTA6 launches later this year. Will it be terribly written? Will it bomb or make a billion by the end of the year.

Interested in what EA cooks up for NCAA 2K26. Will it include new features or will it be just a roster update?

That's my main hook too honestly.

Really? Now that's interesting, for some reason I was under the impression it was the other way around.

From what I'm seeing, DMLC came out in 2013 on Android and Raging Loop in 2015. So unless I'm misunderstanding something, yeah, raging Loop came after, which makes sense since it alludes in very specific ways to things in that extra chapter. I'm kind of hoping the 2025 release is one of those enhanced versions that adds some more tie ins though.

I'm hoping for Palworld to get its ending scenario update/get out of Early Access within the year. Definitely not excited for GTA VI as it just seems like a niggerfest. Not looking like a great year IMO. Maybe for smaller releases.

I made the mistake of being hyped for Kingdom Cope Deliverance II. So i keep my expectations below minimum. Lesson learned, i guess.. But there are some Games i am excited to see how they develop this year. Software Inc is one of them, it has so much potential to grow. Also Hoi4 Mods got a lot of amazing fresh new blood in The Fire Rises and i am very looking forward to what 2025 will bring for it. Will it stay good? Will it get infected by Mimics (Troons)? We'll see.

The new Warhammer: Rogue Trader DLC is also something exciting, i am really itching for some Owlcat autism simulators.
And if you are like me and refuse to let go of your childhood the Pokemon Fangames and Romhacks seem very promising this year. Hoping for some nice Releases and Updates there.

What i am looking forward to in general is the Gothic 1 remake if it'll ever come out and won't be infected.
