Re: New profile picture

I wonder if it's too much to hope that Chris has discovered a fact of life: People are attracted to a person who takes charge of themselves and chooses to put forth a positive image.

It's probably too much to hope.

That's crazy talk man! You'll get locked up thinking like that!

Myeeah, dat's way too much to expect! How can I put forth a positive face when I feel so Depressed and Emotionally Raped inside??? *SIGH*

In my opinion, there isn't enough evidence to draw that conclusion yet.

Yes, the picture is an improvement. His facial expression is much better and his hair, while still a wispy, unruly mess, looks cleaner. Still one ugly mofo though.

We have no way of determining whether or not he's adopted a more 'take charge' attitude, since we can no longer see his Facebook posts. For all we know, he could still be whining about the usual BS. (And if he isn't, it may only be a matter of time.)

Also, as Marvin pointed out in a previous thread, Chris may have wised up enough to control the audience for particular posts. He seems to be desperately trying to cultivate a positive image for his new high school friends, so he may restrict them from seeing the typical self-pitying, whiny stuff. This type of fare is better suited to his original crew of Facebook enablers / ass-patters.

Guess we'll all have to watch and wait to see how this develops.

I know this is an easy shot but, he looks fatter.
Look at his face for comparison.

Another difference is his eyes: from bright and kinda energetic to dull and very tired-looking. Just how much little sleep is he getting nowadays?

It's nice to see that Chris is getting ready for his life as a dirty homeless person when Burp dies.

Also, I finally found what Chris' head reminds me of:

Re: New profile picture

It is an improvement from his previous photo, at least he managed a smile. If he's ready to give up on the tomgirl look he needs to deal with that hair, either grow it out for the aging hippie look, or cut it. If he is still trying to be a tomgirl, he needs to get a new razor and start giving a shit about his appearance.

Re: New profile picture

3/10 in this pic

It's mostly the smile.
If only he'd get a haircut and end the tomgirl thing...

he isn't dressed like a fucking idiot drag queen so that's a plus I suppose.

Don't be hasty to reach a conclusion based a picture that shows us little more than Chris's head. For all you know, when the picture was taken Chris could have been wearing a very short skirt with these two lovelies covering his paws.

Re: New profile picture

So we were right about him being gay after all.

Barb needs to switch him to the Special Diet Manchild Chow.

Re: New profile picture

I have to echo that at least he's trying to smile. I can't remember who told him to try to smile on fb, but it's probably for their benefit.

I know this is like saying that I wish money and ponies woudl fall from the sky, but it'd be nice if Chris signed up at a gym like the YMCA. With how little he and Barb get in money, he'd probably get an almost completely free ride from them as far as cost goes. He'd lose weight, get active, and hell... that actually would be a good place to meet people and *gasp* women. There's one in Piedmont that's about 18 minutes from him, so not too far at all.

Of course the interesting thing would be which dressing room he insisted upon using...

Re: New profile picture

you know what else the YMCA is known for?

There are only a limited number of those type of YMCA scholarships available per year. Chris might qualify based on his income and the fact that he's on SSI, but if he didn't turn in an application early enough, he wouldn't have a chance. (And it's unlikely that he'd make that kind of effort.)

He'd be better off with something like Planet Fitness (if there's one nearby). At $10/per month and no contract, pretty much anyone can afford to go. The joining fee, when there is one, is only $29.00. It would also fit Chris's odd schedule since it's open 24/7.

Then Chris should fit right in! Plenty of potential heartsweets there!

There's not much that can be done once the hairline has receded to the extent that Chris's has. If he were a bit thinner, and had a better shaped head, I'd suggest going for the bald look. That's what my husband did when he started losing his hair. (He didn't want to be one of those ridiculous comb-over guys.) On him, the bald look works nicely.

Chris's only other options are either rockin' the skullet, or putting a bag over his head (which won't do anything about the smell).

Yep, it's all a matter of priorities. Chris probably spends more than $10 / month on McDonald's sweet tea alone.

Just add two holes for the eyes and voila! :tomgirl:

Re: New profile picture

His hair looks cleaner. I won't ask if someone else washed it for him, it's still a step in the right direction. Thumbs slightly up.

Re: New profile picture

This late in the game, I am not sure how much the smile is going to really help. The hair, the chin that looks like a grocery bag filled with sand, the pockmarked complexion, the ratty looking t-shirt. God only knows whats going on south of the collar, but it probably isn't good.

On the upside, he is looking a bit cleaner, and has ditched the earrings for a profile picture.

2/10!
