If you do want to see a freakshow sub-genre of furries that do gaslight themselves into wanting to be an animal, I'd implore looking up "Therian" (also reffered to by the symbol ΘΔ). If there is an avenue to buy a movie and then be able to own it (i.e. have a playable video file in a standard format) then you should buy it. Otherwise piracy is better. In most cases, companies have made piracy the more attractive choice by making paying for things worse.

I run XP on an X220 Thinkpad with the WiFi card ripped out, mainly because I like using Visual C++ 6.0 and DirectX 9. It's cozy.

Sadly you'd have to look up studies to see why things feel more real to people than others do. There's a chance scientists have looked into it for hallucinations, but for dreaming it's hard to study. The most mysterious functions of the human body still are sleeping and dreaming. Keep an eye out for studied on dreaming and hallucinations, it's a good question, it is just hard to answer.

For a long time highest level profile was this guy (level 1111, 5703 games owned), then it was this guy (level 5001, 4624 games owned), now it's this guy (level 6000, 16727 games owned).
Am I overestimating the time and money investment here? Because it looks to me like a full time job.

To give an equally autistic response, here is a video that I think covers the same basic idea.

I don't want to give the degenerates too much credit, but IMO if you're already suspending disbelief to the point of fantasying about being a anthropomorphic dog man, why would you even think about the very annoying/shitty real world implications of being said dog-man/fucker.

It sort of like wishing you could go back in time to invest in BTC before it blew up, but then having to do the mental math of when the best time would be based on how much money you would have had access to 5, 10, 15 years ago, and from there what you would have done in the mean time until you were suddenly some level of wealthy. The reality is likely much shittier than what would could come up with in our imagination, and when it comes to retarded furries, their fantasies are too retarded to handle any level of deeper thinking.
