Near as I can tell, he just wasn't getting any pussy, and tried to become a "male feminist" to get some, to no avail, and just started losing his mind trying to find somebody to blame for it.
The nazi shit, I have no explanation for, I don't know WHERE the fuck jews come into play, here.
The comic in general is so far gone from what it used to be that you legitimately can't even call it Sinfest since it shares nothing it had with itself back when it first started.
 
Ishida come across to me as an incredibly weak willed person who is prone to extremism. You see this phenotype fairly often, anyone familiar with TNO may remember the mod's creator, Pink Panzer, claiming he was a Stormfront poster before being converted to socialism by Vaush vids.

People like this will often convert to new beliefs as they feel the tides shift in some way, but it's always to some insane radical version, not the real political drift that can happen to a person over time.

Ishida is probably the most extreme example, starts fairly edgy and apolitical, mostly a centrist nose-tweaker trying to mock everyone. Then goes radfem, but specifically sex-negative radfem (the sort that would mutate into the TERFs as the troons rose up), which had not been the in vogue version of feminism since the 80s at the latest, let alone when he decided to join the team. Then he gradually starts talking more and more about troons, before eventually breaking entirely and switching off into rad trad esoteric pagan nazism, abandoning any of the leftie pretenses of his radfem period.

Sidenote: Trying to uphold hellenic pagan greece as some kind of ideal society of beautiful, clean, pure people is hilarious on so many levels. Not even getting into how sexual and graphically violent their mythology was, there was the pederasty present in some of the city states as well, not exactly the lovely trad society that he envisions.

The Greeks also got trashed by the Romans, who were also pagans, not the Jews imposing Christianity on them.

Tats didn't hate Christianity at first. His position was incredibly standard for the 2000, he parodied fundies and supported a very milquetoast, "let's all get along with love" type of Christianity. Probably one of those feelgood Protestant denominations with little internal coherency.

He didn't hate it, though. Making Satan a rich loser may be disrespectful and juvenile, but there was clearly some love for Christ in Tats. An atheist would not have written so many of his plotlines, particularly with how cheap and easy was tough guy atheism in the era.

His historical knowledge is clearly laughable, but he's powered by mindless hate. Imagine explaining to him that Christianity was essentially spread by the Roman state and then after the collapse the Greek part of the Empire kept up, and that antisemitism was a good and expected part of Christian societies for centuries. But what fascinates me is that he's not even part of that tradition: he's a American Asian, why the fuck he went for the Joos and pagan shit. Mind rot?

He's also included Viking / norse stuff from that valkyrie vs the wall face a month or two ago. Going anti-religion (including christianity) isn't that surprising for a radfem, lots of them are. I think the idea is that the norse and greeks were polytheistic and it's monotheism that's bad. He is very intense right now though.

Each comic this woman queefs out has less and less effort put into it. Note how just like every great political cartoonist she's simply labeled the man as representing Project 2025 by... just projecting the text "Project 2025" on him. Not putting it on a pin, having him actively writing it into law, making it clear he's a republican by being an elephant, or anything even remotely clever. In another recent comic she made it clear a character was trans by just having them wear a blank T-shirt with the trans flag on it. I'm curious how lazy these can get at this point.

A day late and a dollar short, but I'm glad Penny Arcade finally closed their forum. As far back as I remember, they always hated their forum and the place was like ResetEra-lite straight from day 1. They were the reason why Gabe ultimately backed down on the Dick Wolves thing. Those people were always shitting on the comic and it just baffled me why they decided to hang out on a forum for a comic they hated.

It just confuses me why they decided to do it now. The comic went into their Simpsons slump well over a decade ago and they both seem to have moved on to other things in life. They never visited the forum, at least when I still read them. Maybe they're getting ready to sunset the comic? PAX and their other ventures are way bigger than Penny Arcade, I don't think anyone that goes to PAX even knows what PA even is at this point, and I don't think Tycho or Gabe even go anymore.

Maybe it's time.

The reason they are dropping the forums is the contract with the third-party hosting provider comes due in May and they are clearly not intending to renew. Why they are not going to renew is unknown: Maybe they got a yuge cost increase, maybe they just were looking for a line item to trim from the budget.

I personally don't think they're looking to sunset the comic so much as I think they're looking to sell Penny Arcade LLC and cash out. They might do what any syndicated strip does which is "supervise" and "review" a team of underlings who take over writing and drawing and then slowly in the background step all the way out.
They don't run (or really attend as you point out) any of the PAXes any more as I understand it. They don't run Child's Play. They don't even run the LLC from what I recall, they have executive hires who do all that for them.

Thanks for the perspective on the PA Forums. I never posted and basically only came across the forum when there was a thread talking about something related or if I was looking for a PA comic to re(shit)post.

Its like 10 years past time really.

I don't even think they make regular appearances at PAX anymore.

Mostly they raise their families and keep an eye on their media empire. Pignose still draws the comic (worse than Bum Tickley) and baldy writes overly wordy blog posts in between trying to act like he's not still mad at his (dead) father.
