So after being without a computer for the past...Six years i decided with my money that I got back from the goverment that I spend 800 of it on a new computer.

Since then my experience with both Battletech and MWO/5 has vastly increased. Specially with MWO as now I don't have to deal with horrible framerate drops.

Welcome back to the master race, then. How did you like MW5? Personally, I found it fun but the campaign was so generic I might as well be playing a roguelite.

I've sunk like 200 hours in MW5 on xbox alone. I quiet enjoyed it specially when playing co-op with my brother. Now with modding..well my time is now gone as I found out theres a mod for the clan invasion.

That mod is a bit wonky, but they update fast... too fast sometimes, given the 2mb/sec throttle the Nexus does. YAW/YAWC/YAML is some good shit though and I'm glad the CI mod is compatible with that. Well, trying to be. YAML is certainly less wonky than MercTech. I like some of that mod's changes, but damn... try to be compatible with other mods, buddy?

Just ask the Rimworlders when the Dracs joined the SLDF forces in the Rimworlds during the Reunification war. The Dracs bombed hospitals and living quarters if they only suspect they harbored underground bunkers (incidentally they did) tortured POW's, treated the captured civilians bad. When confronted the Tai-Sa responsible said and i quote "You wanted the world you got the world. Our methods are efficient and save men and ressources". Well the Dracs only lost up to 100 soldiers in that attack while the Rimworlds lost over 10.000 men most of them irregulars. So Dracs vs Taurians might turn even uglier especially if they joined after the battle of Robsart

No kidding, I have a couple of RS books, but I don't know if I've got all of them.

With the Trove gone, does anyone have any other source for those books? Cause it's frankly the only bullshitty thing about BT to buy a shitton of books, especially given that there are no reprints for older volumes where I live. I'd love to buy them in PDF form and it would be a really nice touch if really, really old ones were just available for free. Cause holy fuck, do you really want to force people to buy insanely old books from the 90s that aren't even in print anymore?

Edit: Scratch that, I can't buy any RS books where I live, when they are sold out, what the hell am I to do?

Well, there is the original Trove; the one by 4chan that just so happened to have the same name as the website. Now called "Da Archive". A thread which is constantly updated to show you the newest links to it are here. Click the image to link to a FAQ which will point you to the link with the actual Archive, which is in PDF form. When you open any of the PDFs, simply search for "Battletech", or just browse through the bigger archive links.

Sad to say the one they posted in the Archive is the same one that was nuked a while back. As of today its not being kept up to date.

Jesus, are they trying to fracture the Commonwealth like they did the Free Worlds League? Like I get that Trillian is fucking useless as Archon to the point where the LCAF leadership looks to be on par with Kerensky in comparison to her, but what the fuck.

Nah, the Commonwealth still exists but between Clanner fuckery and Duke Vedet Brewer being one memetic motherfucker shit went a bit sideways for them.
 
Holy shit I thought the Hells Horses got their shit pushed in. Now they basically own a huge chunk of the old Falcon OZ plus parts of the Wolf OZ. Though they most likely have lost Tamar.

And the Commonwealth is reallygetting hammered. They might still own coventry but the planet is useless since the Falcons have razed the precious Mech factories. Will be interesting to see how the Wolves will actually try to build a Star LEague when they are now on the verge of loosing their Empire to the Freeworlds as I have heard that the League has declared war on the Empire. Plus they have the Capellans waiting for the walls around Terra to drop (which apparently have a life span of 1 or 2 years left after Alaric conquered Terra) Makes me wonder what bullshit the writers pull to make Alric First Lordkhan of the Star ilkahnat

If this is in regards to MWO, definitely. Any time your FPS goes below 30 you're going to have issues, though usually that issue only cropped up strongly on Solaris City. That said, apparently a LOT of maps are having more issues than they used to, and some mechs have hilariously bad hitreg issues. I've seen Piranhas eat a dual Heavy Gauss shot (the damage indicators even blink) but the mech takes zero damage.

The Horses were smart enough to bid their time and wait for the Falcons and the Wolves to empty their occupation zones in their big push towards Terra. They basically just sauntered in and captured everything they could. About time these fashion-averse lads had their time in the sun.

Yeah, looks like the writers have even more war in stock for us following on the IlKhan Era. Hopefully they don't overcompensate for all the shit they put the Capellans through, though. The last thing we need is the Confederation to be a dominant power. They work much better as the sneaky underhanded underdogs.
