These were the shows I remember watching on BBC. Hustle was about a group of sophisticated thieves stealing from high profile targets. Spooks was about MI-5 going after terrorists.
After all these years the only scene I remember was in Spooks, the deep fryer scene. Two MI-5 agents were working undercover in some far right group and get their cover blown. During the interrogation, the female agent gets tortured by sticking her hand and then her head in a deep fryer before getting shot to death.
This was a shocking scene to air on the BBC. They later removed the scene from the episode when they aired the reruns of the show. I remember that scene being a lot worse back then.
