Binging With Babish - AKA How Would This Taste IRL

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
My brother recommended me his videos, but besides watching the food get made, it's usually way too complicated to make the vast majority of his recipes (both in term of necessary ingredients and gadgets).
I'd rather watch a channel like Life of Boris that uses sane ingredients and where the most advance gadget used is a chainsaw.

... I feel like we've somehow watched wildly different channels.

Yeah, some of his recipes are over-the-top because that was sort of one of the "gimmicks" of his channel, recreating stuff from movies and TV shows and stuff. But a majority of his stuff is just... food. And the most common "gadget" he uses is a bloody stand mixer.

Will we see 'Trooning with Babish' soon?

He's always seemed to have soy vibes, but I didn't think he'd start down the troon rabbithole.

It's ridiculous to think that a dude this relatively "successful" with a decent 7-8/10 gf would need to put on nail polish for mental health in retrospect. I'm thinking it's for publicity.

It's not just Babish, the entire "professional chef" scene is pozzed several times over that of big tech if you can believe that's possible. That and YouTube had been a neo-hollywood shithole for the longest time means that anyone who even stumbles into notoriety by accident will get groomed into entering troon valley. Man, fuck the human mind and its response to success, I'll gladly live a boring life than go through this rollercoaster.

It's just fingernail polish. And the rest of his comment mentions other things that he did for his mental health. Fingernail polish is a fun little distracting project and I promise you the average dude putting lacquer on his nails won't magically introduce anti-androgen blockers into his body.

It is a bad idea for a chef though cause what if that chips off into the food? Gross.

The whole idea for a youtube channel started because he was depressed, his gf broke up with him and he took a ton of mushroom and had an epiphany

A few months back I used his macaroni recipe from the It's Always Sunny episode as a sorta 'test drive' to see if my autistic ass could follow a simple recipe, turned out great! I feel like I was the only one out of my family to actually have some though.

I never make his stuff as its like mostly gimmick schitck but I enjoy watching his vids. Although sometimes they can cross into cringe territory badly.

Still..6.5/10

I actually used the base pastry for his Avatar Egg Custard tarts for my FF15 memory lane pastry in the past.
It actually worked out pretty well tbh. It was really crispy and flakey. His regular pie crusts were good too, I kinda fucked it up but my family was into it.
Also used his burning hunka hulkin fudge ice cream base to make a chocolate caramel moonshine one which everyone went crazy for.

Bimbish here has some good shit.

I can't make Babish recipes. I don't use Kosher salt.

I feel like most of his stuff is more useful as a jumping off point than actual recipes. No one got time for that shit.

He actually made a normal recipe.

So the channel has a new cooking video that's actually a gay podcast? I tried listening to it, but got bored very quickly.

Don't get why it's called the same as the popular slur, probably another attempt to "reclaim" the term from the ebil right wingers.

Also a shame since Mapo Tofu is one manly dish

>SoyBoy as an unironic title

Clearly not upset about an internet meme the majority forgotten or had ignored vastly for its existence. This will continue to be a podcast about food and nothing tangential I am sure, right?

Rule number one if you do something like this: have fun. It's not fun to hear some fat guy talk about some heart condition he had with this solemn music. Nobody likes fake but they sure as hell don't like cloying.
