That is utterly terrible, but you'll find no quarter with the people you keep calling nazis as you try to destoy their lives, unless you are advocating for the enshrinement of legal protections for all speech, even the sort you find objectionable.

I can easily see John's UK libel case being the second coming of QB VII, in which he is awarded a judgement of "one penny, the basest coin in the realm," for damage to his reputation.
While it's good to see you finally got the first part right John, I have to mansplain that factual statements are not opinion under American law and that the UK is not the US. Mr. Welles failed at both of these things.
Also, this dude backed down from a threat (apparently only on Twitter?) so Rowling never even had to find out if she had a good case, something that any moron you defame could do the same thing to you despite you being in the United States. Legal threats (baseless or not) still impose a cost you have to weigh. Me personally, I would stand by what I say because not only do I know the First Amendment pretty well but I don't actively lie so I'm willing to roll the dice on dismissing threats by ignoring them or literally filing for dismissal if they get filed, for people who are idiots and lie constantly like yourself they may decide to back down when forced to actually stand by what they've said. The reason you probably don't get legal threats daily is because you have no money and you're irrelevant.
