Frank bought a house, John, you just squat in it.

Good thing John doesn't know jack shit otherwise he would have been admitting to hanging out with a known Nazi apologist (leopards don't change their spots)

I want to know what’s in their finances that made dealing with the banks a headache...

The banks are pretty much back to handing out big checks to people who are remotely responsible. They would have given me $800k had I wanted it but I went with a house for under half that. John must have some really bad credit in his history.

John's never held a job aside from that GameStop stint, and I doubt he's bought anything with money that wasn't Frank's. So Johnny probably has a credit score of -12

Piano? Which Final Fantasy is that?

Could be credit, could be the campaign messing with how their finances are structured. I bet there's co-mingling of personal funds going on with the campaign that makes it hard to prove income.

The other thing that could screw them over with a bank would be anti-corruption or anti-money laundering rules. John isn't a public official, but he has officially registered a campaign. That potentially puts him in a customer category that automatically triggers extra scrutiny by a bank.

None of Warren's bank busting ideas would change any interaction that John has with a bank, of course. But you can't expect him to actually read and understand financial issues, given his track record with money.

I looked at the October fec filing. If you can do basic 3rd grade math, you will see that the election cycle total for July plus the disbursements for October is over 50k less than the total cycle amount listed for October.

124647.75 + 65124.49 = 189772.24 (what the total should be)
total as calculated by Dr Wu, PhD is 243881.04
Where did the $54108.80 go?
i mean, shouldn’t that value be auto-calculated? How do they constantly manage to fuck up so badly?
John probably bought another Porsche.

There’s an electric Porsche coming out. Wondering if the new toy will be tempting enough to shell out for yet another.
I hope not , I really enjoyed the restoring Audi TT saga, I hope he buys an older Porsche to “restore”and adds CarPlay, LED lights and ends up painting it in his yard.

Or it could just be BS. "My six-figure husband had trouble getting a $500k mortgage!" Mm hmm.

Frank does have some huge liablities, though. He's the part owner of a video game studio that never made money (probably negative $400,000), has several auto loans (2 or 3), and is bankrolling dead-in-the-water congressional campaigns back to back.

I wouldn't give him a loan, at the very least. Doesn't seem like it'd get paid back cleanly or easily.

The chief thing of concern is that Frank is over 50 now, which means that he's going to retire before the usual 20 year mortgage is repaid.
Frankly I'm baffled why they even needed a mortgage to buy their house though. Frank pulled down 260K last year and sold 300K worth of stock. Their home is apparently worth 700K at most. Even with BriBri's reckless spending, they can't be that much short of just buying it for cash, surely?

The only explanation I can come up with is that one or both of them has a massive coke habit.

Any man would have to be coked out more than David Bowie on Soul Train to deal with being married to Johnny.

A coke habit could definitely explain a lot of John's behaviour, like the facial tics, irrational outbursts ("DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" and "SAND NIGGERS!" come to mind), and general oddball actions.

What a surprise! This is definitely not staged shilling at all!

I know that much gets said about the way they keep their home but that kitchen is depressing looking. The pans up on the wall are not even spaced out, its like they just put nails into the wall at random to hang them wherever.

And then you sent it back, because it would be inappropriate for a congressional candidate to accept corporate gifts. Oh, wait....

It's perfect and fuels John's hypothetical pork barrel politics I mean You Won't Believe It's Not Pork barrel politics where he receives campaign money California and intends to send his districts money their way if he gets elected.
