This is a very important issue.
Lightbulbs should be as bright as possible.

My house is fitted out with tube-style fluorescent lights and I hate them. They are proof of a hateful god.

Before the supply completely dried up I bought most of the 100 and 150 watt incandescent builds from Target. I'm talking a solid 40 or 50 bulbs.

I hate the alternatives as well. They're considerably more expensive and they don't last any longer dispite the hype around them. But the worst part to me is the color. It's always white / tungsten, it's very unnatural to me, it feels like a hospital operating room.

I like the newer LED bulbs more than the nasty colored fluorescent tube bulbs. Also at least with the ones I have now, I get 60 watts equivalent for 15.

My favorite color temperature bulb is still one of those 100 watt incandescents made of clear glass, but it's not very efficient.

Around where I live, there's a fad of "vintage" bulbs styled after bulbs over a century old.
