Browser Extension Thread - Every Internet forum for discussing the Capital I Internet needs a good thread like this

Reddit check - find a funny webpage you like? click the extension and it'll find where the page has been linked to on reddit so you can see their seething.

Edit: do not use this
I considered installing this and then I saw...

Needless to say, Reddit doesn't need to know what I jack off to. Nope, not installing. Good idea if it was searching when asked instead of sending every link to every page I access to Reddit to check if there's threads about it on there... and at that point, why not look it up manually?

Video Downloader Plus - Downloads videos from all sites but Youtube. I'm somewhat of a data hoarder and paid for it to download some of my favourite movies I can't get on BitTorrent but find on VK or some obscure foreign video site.
Cultivate - Shows me the country of origin of some Amazon items.
View Background Image - adds the "view background image" function to see site images that might make a good background or if my data hoarding compulsion makes me really want to save it for some reason.
WebP/Avif converter - I get autistic about what format my images are saved in and absolutely despise these image formats.
Return Youtube Dislike - pretty much what it says.

Posting screenshots because I'm a lazy nigger. I also have AdNauseam, Firefox containers and NoScript but they're currently disabled as I don't feel I need those at the moment with my primary browser.

AdNauseum is based on uBlock Origin so you can run it in lieu of uBlock Origin without losing any functionality. I use it for my main browser and never see an ad meanwhile draining the wallets of faggots that pay for ads.

For Firefox users I suggest you look at Auto Tab Discard. Basically it automatically unloads inactive tabs. Its behavior is really easy to control and it's a blessing for those who never close tabs. I believe it does have a Chromium version but a lot of Chromium browsers do tab sleeping themselves so it's less useful there.

Yeah AdNauseam is pretty based for fucking with ads in general and it does run well alongside ublock origin, I just turned it off for a while for shits and giggles. Might switch it back on eventually.

A few I use that haven't been mentioned.
Enhancer for Youtube - defaults Youtube to the quality you want, expands the video to a larger size, and so on
IG downloader - Most people here probably don't give a fuck about this one, but Instagram has nice art I save sometimes.
Stream Cleaner - Another one most probably won't give a fuck about because Twitch is cancer, but I watch artists on there and sometimes follow along. The only extension I've found that blocks their faggy ads 100%
Stylus/Tampermonkey - for muh themes
Search by Image - Pulls from many search engines so you can find the same image in higher quality, or find a source. Good for art that you want to find the original of.

Good evening my Mozilla trannies, these are my favorite extensions:
Ublock Origin (That's a given)
Bypass Paywalls
Old Reddit Redirect
SponsorBlock
Country Flags & IP Whois
Save webP as PNG or JPEG (honestly kind of a clunky extension, but it serves it's purpose)
TamperMonkey

Some of my favorites for Firefox that haven't already been mentioned: -

Foxy Gestures - I can't use a browser without mouse gestures

Don't Accept image/webp - Stops servers from serving up images in WebP format almost all of the time

Remove YouTube Shorts - Gives you various options on where to hide shorts on YouTube, and has worked consistently for me, unlike some of the other options I've tried

Selection Context Search - One of the most useful extensions IMO, as you can highlight any word(s) on a web page, then search for them on any site that you've chosen, which I use often for searching for stuff on YouTube, eBay and Amazon, amongst others

Imginn - Redirects you to Imginn when you click on an Instagram link, which doesn't require you to have an account, although it can be a little slow to load sometimes

Bypass Paywalls Clean - Bypasses paywalls on a ton of sites, although no longer works for Substack, sadly

🟩 FOREWORD

We recommend keeping extensions to a minimum: they have privileged access within your browser, require you to trust the developer, can make you stand out, and weaken site isolation. For those interested, here is an ongoing series on the basics of browser extension security by Wladimir Palant.

This list covers privacy and security related extensions only. While we believe these are the very best of the best, this can be subjective depending on your needs. We are also not saying you have to use all these extensions.

stopped using their niggerware ever since it started causing my browser to get inexplicable memory leaks but thats nice to see that its also gayware
