I can't believe we're still talking about his "suicide" with all these calls to embassies and police stations for confirmation about his death. Byuu is the best example of a fuck up. Couldn't even fake his death right and everything is being brought to light about all his bullshit.

He'll probably get outed by a coworker at some point. I think he told Null he had 100,000 in savings. While you could live out on that for a while, it's certainly not enough to live out on forever. Particularly so in Japan since they do actually have a fairly high cost of living.

Denial of being Byuu, followed by more lies. Probably along the lines of "Oh I did overdose and would have died but someone found me and got me to hospital and I made a full recovery, so I decided to stay off the internet to avoid further harassment. Hector pretended to have confirmation to cover my back".
It would be even harder to dispute that story, especially if coupled with "I don't want to provide details of that period of my life, it's very triggering", and the twitter troons would count that as the same as him being actually dead in terms of how evil Kiwifarms is.

It will not happen because the general public does not care either way (assuming they have even heard of him). But let's re-frame that as a question about his fans.
Does he really have any fans? Even among the sort of people who might appreciate his work?
The story of his death was useful to some people who have since moved on. That is all.

I have significant respect for his work. It's a crying shame that he's such a clown, but this is the consequence of associating with the people he does, especially when he's "an empath" and uncritically picks up all the SJW BS that's so popular today.

I feel like had he not picked up on the SJW IDPol BS, he'd be the only person left working on his project and he'd get tons of "transphobe" comments hurled at him by his old snowflake friends. I guess he cared about protecting his reputation in the developer elite cult more than anything.
Poking around ROM hacking forums now (SMWC, Kuribo64, Jul, RHDN etc) people on them seem far more troon-rights aligned than pretty much any other community out there, literally declaring that they will ban for wrongthink in most cases.
So I could literally see people on those shaming people for using code by "transphobic" people or whatever, or those that refuse to integrate IDpol in software development.
Eventually because of the mainstream nature of this activism and Twitter/Discord within the emulation and Nintendo community no one would use higan anymore as idiot people would be brainwashed into being too scared to support its use.
TL;DR he wanted to remain an internet celebrity for people that wouldn't give a fuck about him anymore if he had his own opinions about stuff instead of following the sheep - so made shitty compromises for the sakes of those people and this led to his mental degradation.
