I loved this term the instant it entered my eyeballs
Poor guy just needed a real friend.
some people just have chronic bad luck in their social life. but some people are also friendless schizos for a reason. actually going through with suicide takes a special kind of brain; most people will simply resign themselves to continued existence no matter how miserable they are. looking from the sidelines, it often seems like their tragic end could have been avoided if somebody had just intervened at the right time, in the right way; but I suspect this is just an artifact of human perception. we all see the world in half-formed maybes, but reality only happens one way, without the slightest regard for anybody's opinions about it. in reality, some people really are calibrated to live out a perfect downward spiral due to their own intentional actions, and nobody can hope to stop them. and though these people may claim this or that was the thing that finally pushed them over the edge, in reality, their own willpower is the only thing that can force them to take the final step. for every one of kiwifarms' supposed victims who gave themselves the final logout due to cyberbullying or whatever, there are dozens of thriving cows who just deal with it and get on with their lives, or learn the lesson and stop airing their cringe on the public internet. no kiwiposter shoved those pills down byuu's throat - assuming he really is dead - the only person responsible is the man himself.
