I found this guy via the Boogie video and after watching a couple more I actually really like this guy. He seems to give good advice and is also fairly entertaining. He also seems to know when he actually should be angry at someone or sympathetic.
The Pakistani lady in this video is like the first person I've seen him this frustrated with and I fucking hate her so it feels completely justified.
It's nice to see a financial YouTuber that isn't like some sort of ego driven scam artist.

The tweets are gone, but according to the TX DPS and a local news article, he directly threatened to kill Abbott. His comments on the show are him portraying his actions in the most favorable light, and he still comes off as an unstable jack ass. I don't doubt that the arrest was warranted. I'm not sure he would've been convicted if he went through the full proceedings, but it sounds like he accepted a lesser charge plea deal which makes it seem as though he was fairly convinced that he could be convicted on terroristic threats.
I would agree, but read between the lines. He's giving the most charitable description possible, and still comes off as a jack ass. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I've listened to his statement at 0:40 like twenty times, and I think he says "I was arrested by 60 Peace Agents". That's a pretty big committal of resources for a non-threat. I bet his tweets were closer to "Abbott. I know you're a secessionist. You and your GOP crony's times are coming. I found this on a Texas Attorney's blog. Apparently, terroristic threats are either Felonies or Class A/Class B misdemeanors.
It looks like this is a "fuck you for wasting or time charge". Like how police will charge you if you call them for a non-issue (kids playing on playgrounds, ppl using public grills), or how the fire department will charge you if you get trucks sent out unnecessarily (even though there's technically nothing illegal about burning popcorn and setting off a fire alarm).
The fact that he didn't fight this and just took the punishment (when he's a leftist grifter) tells me that he knew what he did wasn't 1st amendment protected speech.
Edit: after a fuck ton of research, I think he might have said "six DPS agents", which I thought was wrong since DPS is the equivalent of the DMV. AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) recovered several alarming tweets Monday that threatened the life of Governor Greg Abbott.
The tweets belong to the account of Brint Crockett (@Brintish). He tweeted about his hate towards Gov. Abbott and of him wanting to take the Governor’s life.
The tweets that caught the authorities’ attention were deleted by Crockett from his twitter account.
Due to the severity of the tweets, special officials went to Crockett’s residence and conducted a knock and talk to check for Crockett.
Crockett was interviewed by officials who asked him his reasons for the tweets. Crockett responded that he felt that the entire Republican political party was attacking him. He said that it is documented in a political statement.
Crockett admitted tweeting the string of threats. He also admitted that he deleted some of the tweets this morning because they were little too much.
Crockett was arrested and taken to Travis County Jail by officials.

I've listened to a few of his show and his advice against investments makes a lot of sense. Many of these people have tens of thousands of dollars in credit card debt and a few thousand in investments. He tells them to sell the stocks, crypto, etc and pay off credit cards. They are hoping to make maybe 5% on investments and losing to 20% creditcard interest rates.
Unironically true for all guests he brings in. I put these videos on in the background while working and while some of these people have external factors worsening their situations like a family member or partner fucking them over, ultimately all of them are in debt and brought it on themselves.

You're comparing apples to oranges. Nick's streams are primarily comedy and real estate related. People ask him questions about cars and career choices(usually trade related), but that isn't the point of the streams. "Stop spending" is good advice for most people, especially if they already make a good living. I agree with you that these videos get stale. After a few it becomes a Jerry Springer-like experience of gawking at people's bad life choices.
