Chainsaw Man - Peak Fiction in the making

Latest chapter came out and it’s probably the funniest chapter in a long time

I’ll always love Denji focusing on the more mundane straightforward crimes as opposed to the massive slaughters and killings a Devil does.

Didn't Pochita steal that burger though?

He was desperately trying to keep Denji’s contract with him going so it wouldn’t claim his soul(enjoy life, date a girl, ect), so I think it’s an “ends justify the means”.

Plus Denji want conscious and aware of that at the time.

I take back everything negative I said about this new arc's direction. The darker tone contrasts with Denji's brilliantly braindead comic relief better than I could have imagined.

I actually busted out laughing at Denji giving himself a lobotomy.

Is the manga over? I've been trying to avoid spoilers as a filthy anime-only pleb, but I got spoiled on one aspect and decided to wiki binge. Seemed like it ended with Makima being reincarnated and Denji adopting her.

The first arc is over and we are well into then second. I recommend reading the manga, the anime isn't bad but the original format works better overall.

That was the end of what I would loosely call part 1. The author took a short break after finishing it and is now pretty deep into part 2 after a small time skip and introducing new characters.

Just read the manga, the anime is going to take 3 seasons at a minimum to get to the end of part 1. Let alone part 2.

The manga is an easy read. The dialog is efficient, the action is clear. It's not one of those Mangas that goes on and on until you start checking your watch.

I'm getting a kick out of how gay-ass weak the war devil is. Chainsaw man eating war was the key to world peace. The obvious set up is for chainsaw and war to team up and have wacky odd-couple adventures, but...you know.

The anime is good, but it will take a while for it to finish especially with MAPPA having a gazillion other projects.

I would recommend to read the manga. Part 1 is a great story and it ends in a way that you don't really need to read Part 2, but Part 2 is great enough to continue reading so far.

As for the recent chapter, Denji lobotimizing himself is great and I do like how throughout Part 2, he still looks back at his friends, it's really nice. Also, this arc is so great, I really like the Falling Devil, she's fun.
