Chainsaw Man - Peak Fiction in the making

He probably will and will be disappointed when that thing he's been chasing this whole time turns out to be nowhere near as good as he thought it would, ironically for the exact reasons makima outlined after his incident with power. I suspect either he'll go into another existential crisis or Asa will happen upon him mid act and it'll cause some stupid fuckin drama arc.
Sex is pretty good tho, tho more in the physical and emotional bond than the act of fucking itself. Though Denji has... bad luck in every first time women related thing he does.

Theoretically Chainsaw Man should tick all the boxes for me, but it just seems uninteresting somehow. I also spoiled the hell out of myself by watching a series review on YouTube so there's not much point in watching it now anyway.

I wonder why I wasn't drawn to it though, I kinda wanna like it.

Well guys, it's been a good run, I can only assume that the next chapter will be the last since Denji's character arc is fulfilled, he got his pee pee touched by a lady, probably because she got paid, but that is not a thing Denji cares for, I expect an endearing epilogue in the next chapter and a picture with all of the characters new and old smiling :)

I wanted to reply that everyone is going to die but there are only 3 characters (Asa, Denji and mini Makina) and I doubt any one of them is dying soon

I mean, it was pretty obvious weird dick-touching girl was bad news, but I’m digging the execution. Seeing Denji kick ass without going full ChainsawMan was neat.

Also, almost-based Denji.

EDIT: Also also, that karaoke was a real song.

I did not think they were going to pull the bait and switch again. Still, Denji sure did roll with it. Fun chapter.

Also with the return of KatanaSword Man, I wonder if we’ve been getting a bunch of foreshadowing to nu-Power coming back in some form.
Well, shit. If he's back, that means the other weapons humans probably still alive as well, like I called it earlier in the thread. If that's the case, I expect Quanxi and Reze to make an appearance soon, and won't seeing the latter be very interesting for Denji.

Just had a reread. Still like it. For those who've seen the anime how worthwhile is it? A lot of the stuff in it I can see being played as funny when they really should not be when animated.

I realized lately that I really dont give a shit about the fights, powers and other bullshit. I Just enjoy denji and asa being retards.

It's severely overproduced. The animation looks slick and sophisticated(they really leaned into the "cinematic" thing) but would be better and probably cheaper if they stuck to a more messy and chaotic feel, especially for the heavier action scenes. Not a complete wash but given the obscene budget it had it should have hit much harder.

That makes me wary. Some of these do seem to go high budget in season 1 then season 2 go cheaper which results in a loss of followers. Will check it out some time.

That's less due to a loss of money and more do to a loss of staff/personnel. You have to understand that most of the people who work on these shows are contractors. When a show ends, they have to find work elsewhere, and considering the shear volume of anime that's being produced, there is always opening for more work. So what you see is natural staff attrition between seasons. Many of the great animators, and even high level staff like directors move on to other projects, leading to collapse in quality.

Mushoku Tensei is experiencing something like this right now with its second season, and one video called out that this would happen, and explained the process in more detail:

They truly are the text book definition of sped dating.

As for the latest chapter I don't know how is jewing who anymore, I was speculating that Ska girl was some sort of funky demon, turns out she's just another sped who has quickly learnt that fucking with Denji is incredibly fun. Asa seems like she's being setup to fly high only to hit the pavement hard, now. And well, lets see what Swordman being alive entails. Biggest mystery to me right now is tentacle's real deal
