Even if the decision had been something he was thinking about, which I don't think it was, it would be incredibly stupid to do it right before your 400th episode in the midst of your first real serious drama. If I had been Charlie and I wanted to leave because I spent too much time online or whatever, I would at least wait for everything to settle down and maybe leave like a month or two later.
