Could be because he helped some Youtubers get paid when YT's systems fucked them over.
I remember specifically this one animetuber guy who was stuck in a weird situation because when he got monetized, he was abroad on vacation. So Youtube in its infinite wisdom refused to pay him to any account from anywhere other than the country he'd gone to. And so, over several years, he tried everything including going to the country and opening a bank account there, and YT continued to refuse paying him.
Charlie talked to his contacts and they managed to get him paid, and it was a lot of money, since it'd been building up for years.
I think I remember he's helped others with weird situations like that, but I don't remember more specific cases.
