I'm always willing to give people benefit of the doubt; he is a fence sitter and I think, like others have stated, that he just believes (maybe now believed) completely un-critically (lmao) and at face value that a child undergoing transitioning drugs and treatment is completely safe, reversible, and more or less a phase you can opt out of like being emo or goth if you decide you aren't actually trans, like people on Twitter scream constantly.

The backlash has probably been shocking and surprising to him since he's always thought that, and he can't really backpedal it without nuking his relationship with a lot of people at this point , so him just backing out and saying "nope I'm done" makes a ton of sense

I want this controversy to be his whole life for a month. I want him to try and fail to move on from this, but to always be pulled back into it because he can't wash the stink off his skin. Somehow Charlie has managed to come out on top in the eyes of his fans. Interesting to know that so many people really don't see anything wrong with children being drugged up and told that up is down and right is left. As long as they-or rather "the parents"-consent, right?

I don't buy it.
He (allegedly) has gone through puberty, he has seen his male and female peers go through puberty. You learn the basics of puberty and sexual biology in school.

He knows how big of a deal it is, how fast and major the changes and growth can be.

Only someone who is genuinely retarded could think that you can just stop the process or get the hormones of the opposite sex without huge consequences.
