Unless you are running something locally a company can and will fuck with it for what it is in their best interests. People have run local chatbots before way back when. I have a feeling the way shit is now with these companies and everything being a "service" it's pure server and spaghetti jeet code bloat shit like everything else is lately.

I saw other people use it before, I can't remember if it was a joke video or in person but the key details about chatgpt to me was that it was very subpar at actually finding things you were looking for and even outright lies just to 'successfully' perform the request basically giving confirmation bias with bullshit sources or even sources that have nothing to do with what was requested besides a couple highlighted words.
