I don't know how it is in the US but in countries such as Brazil and Australia Chinese manufacturers are pivoting hard to get their cars on the national fleet. I've been getting mixed signals but I presume said cars are chinesium garbage that needs an engine change every 10K kilometers.

 
Australia has been flooded with Chinese cars over the past few years, from Chinese brands such as MG and BYD, and non-Chinese brands such as Tesla and Volvo who have factories over there.

Last time I checked, China overtook South Korea as the third most common country of origin for new vehicles on the Australian market, with Japan and Thailand being first and second respectively.

The general consensus is that Chinese cars are kinda shit, but they're cheap and some people don't know they've bought a Chinese car until it's too late. Apparently a lot of MG buyers are sucked into the British heritage marketing horseshit peddled, though to be fair if you're buying a British-made car because you think it'll be good, you're a fucking retard. It's not like Chinese MGs are any bigger pieces of shit than the OG British ones from years ago.

Well at the very least MG had some racing pedigree in the old days... Boomers that don't know any better get suckered by them.
 
I'd assume it's like anything else made in China: it can be good, but it usually isn't. I remember there was that one Chinese company that made a knockoff-but-legally-distinct Smart Fortwo, which was built like crap and they got sued (and won) over its similarities to the Smart. It seems like as far as the export market is concerned, Chinese auto manufacturers can only really compete by being cheap, so they're pretty much all going to be bad.
 
Ah yeah, chinkmobiles. Fucking Volvo XC40 weights well over 1500 kg, is over 4.4m long, and is powered by dinky ass 3 cylinder engine because swedecuck gweilos will buy it anyway. And yes, Volvo is just a subsidiary of Geely, Chairman of the Board of Volvo Cars is Li Shufu, founder of Geely. But disregard that.

Right now, gayrope is being overrun with cheap as shit EVs. Part of it is EU is doing everything it can to kill European industry, but also chicom government gives absurd amount of yellow tax money to EV factories in China so they can flood foreign markets and give chinks foreign currency they desperately need. With EU wanting to kill petrol and diesel cars, the future for most is driving these pieces of dogshit or [fedposting redacted]. I mean, if Tesla is so shitty, how horrid must its chinese clones be?
