I fucking hate it here.

This being the end of Season 1 doesn't sit well with me. If anything I feel like we are 95% of the way there. How would you guys divide the video series into seasons?

Christory is not linear and will be anachronistic, merge or no merge.

He's smart not to venture into the jail and legal saga since little is known for sure. More will come out later and also much later at some point. If that happens after he's done an episode, then he loses all of that chronological magic and ability to make linear presentation.

This is the Ozymandias of Christory. Anything after it is Granite State, or the Gene timeline in this Breaking Bad comparison.
And the final would look like this:
-Chris is living alone in the house that is completely and utterly ran down, completely off his rocker, Barb is dead
-Something caused another fire, but Chris was too zoinked out to notice it
-It got so bad he is trapped inside the fiery tomb, stuck in his room
-The stress and weight of the situation makes him sober up for a single time
-*cue Badfinger - Bad Baby Blue*
-For the last time he holds his Sonichu medallion and looks around his room, reminiscing of his life before he loses consciousness from the smoke and lays on the floor staring at the burning ceiling
-Camera pans out and we see him slowly getting surrounded by flames until the burning ceiling collapses on him
-Cut to black
-Directed by Vince Gilligan

I feel the same, but I kind of understand why. The incest incident really was the defining change in the Chris Chan story. Everything that came before it, no matter how big they seemed at the time, can't compare to what occurred that weekend and how it changed everything about the universe surrounding Chris forever.

It is like Jesus's resurrection. There was a BC for human history and now there is an AD. The incest was a pivotal moment that separated the periods of Chris's life into two much bigger chunks.

That's an interesting end, I think the sad reality will just be him, alone, unable to get up one day just sliding to his side, seeing the medalian one last time followed by a faint and hopeful "Sonichu...?".

Then his diseased soy sauce filled body just shuts down, and he dies like an old cat with his body crinkling and foaming at the mouth, light's in the eyes going dark.

BB (Before Barb) and AB (After Barb).

Well I did try to Vince it up, you know. Obviously the reality will be more of a wet fart than a grandeur explosion.

I see Chris more as Jesse Pinkman, chained up by the Aryan Nation Caleb, to shuffle, lifeless and dead-eyed, through the daily grind of cooking meth streaming as he plays with Legos, to stuff his captors' wallet.

Except I was cheering for Jesse to make it to freedom in Alaska; I'm cheering for Caleb to beat Chris with a pool-ball in a sock.

- "Modem is MAC address"
Meanwhile me with a Mikrotik router:
/interface ether set ether1 mac-address=AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:F8
Oops, now the MAC address that's facing the WAN is completely made up and I can change it any time I want.

Imagine LARPing as a l33t haxx0r and not being aware that MAC spoofing is a thing. Not only on smartphones, which is on by default, but also on routers.

Yeah because Jesse was a good kid from a good home that got his life completely fucked up. You were supposed to feel empathetic for Jesse because he wasn't the villain of the story. That was Walter, he completely fucked his life up. Season 5 makes you utterly despise Walter.

The post-merge era is going to have to be documented very differently, if at all. Really part 1 goes right up to the merge, thats it.

Theres less material by far, and if anything, everything after 85 is too contemporary to really document. Maybe he'll do a deep dive on a few parts, but documenting everything up to merge is a good job overall in my opinion.

Post merge, Im sure theres other people to try that mess
