Jeremy sounds like an HR/PR bot that tries to pass as a human. Him talking about brand and his business actually fails to make him likeable or distinct or interesting (and for all the hate, both
@FROG and the QPounder actually can talk about their businesses and come out as humans).
If he had 3 working braincells he would be doing a mix of outrage videos with small business owner stuff and have more success (early YBZ did exactly that, him saying "I have worked in X and Marvel should do Y", that is what made him stand out and currently Comics, by Pertch does the exact same thing minus the outrage). The rest of his staff is mid-tier youtubers who can't stand on their own (or, when they do, they leave his channel, like Anna did)
He literally is nothing but his brand. Pretty much all of his videos are either generic clickbait about the latest Hollywood BS or are held up by the far more talented people he surrounds himself with like CD, Nerdrotic, Midnight's Edge, Rippa, Anna...
Decent "culture war" Youtubers typically have some kind of unique knowledge, insight or talent that give people a reason to watch when flamebait is running dry. They have actual passions that motivate them to make videos on topics that aren't just the latest trend and to actually have critiques that haven't been made in Youtube comment sections a million times over.
Even The Quarterpounder at least understands who his audience is, who his enemies are and how to walk the line between getting demonetized and losing his viewers. Despite producing the video equivalent of pablum he's managed to hold on through content droughts by being just self aware enough to avoid completely humiliating himself like a MundaneMatt.
Whereas I get the impression Jeremy's aspiration is to be Collider; a highly compensated, moderately well promoted shill. Except he isn't rich or well educated enough to force his way into that world, he doesn't have the connections to get a head start and he isn't smart enough to build it from the ground up. So he built up a following by desperately pumping out TLJ/CM clickbait, then attached his brand to any up-and-comer he could find. For all his weaknesses he recognized the benefits of networking creators in a kind of shitty substitute of the Youtube algorithm and of pumping smaller channels in the hopes that they'd either blow up and give him spillover fans or get just big enough to guilt into squeezing some content out of.
When the washed up NFL player he picked up got him a direct connection to Snyder G&G probably thought he hit the jackpot: he could be Collider but shill for "based pro fan" creators like Snyder instead of Kathleen Kennedy. Literally everyone with any connection to the entertainment industry whatsoever knew this was impossible but Jeremy was blinded by all the views and clout he could get from an exclusive interview and personal connection with
Major Hollywood Director Zack Snyder. He doesn't understand that he's already crossed the point of no return in Hollywood's eyes and that they're the enemy, he thinks he can become Collider but for "based pro-fan" movies and spend the rest of his life relaxing while his lackeys produce highly sponsored advertisements until the end of time. Someone with vision would have understood that the best way to stand out and instantly gain a following would have been to challenge Snyder but unfortunately the mediocrities in the call had even less courage than Jeremy.
But yeah, take away his generic clickbait brand name and the people around him and what do you have left? You've got a guy who makes clickbait culture war videos, but he isn't even the most successful guy named Jeremy who makes clickbait culture war videos. It's debatable if he's even in the top 3. If he could have stolen some clout he might have managed to become the top Jeremy and if he had some situational awareness and bravery and he could have done even better than that but instead he just humiliated himself and his fans. But as long as his brand survives he can just ride coattails to financial security, same as he's always done
