Yes, a Marvel editor apparently suggested the firing but he's fired from any projects he had with Lucasfilm. Any books by him, comic or not, are cancelled.
Holy fucking shit, modern Lucasfilm and Marvel Comics actually made a smart business decision on the same day?

Be right back, going outside to watch the skies for flying pigs.

Last 24hours Rundown:
  • IndieGoGo cucks Vox Day's ALT-HERO and any future publishings from him.
  • Rich Jonhston stepped down as Editor in Chief for interviewing Vox Day.
  • Cuck Wending got fired by Marvel and Star Wars for excessive TDS-ing.
  • The same speds that clap people shitting on fans are now in full outrage mode over someone actually facing the consequences.
  • Stan Lee is free from anyone manipulating him.
EDIT: Forgot:
  • Alex de Campi admitting that Marvel employees have been harassing fans.

Holy shit. When Rich Johnston is too much of a shitlord...I am truly afraid that entertainment industry is one bad day from a million person Jonestown suicide. Honestly, the entertainer class is 20 tons of dysfunction delicately balancing itself atop a Jenga tower.

Never read this guy's shit. Oh man. Now--I have. It's bad. Really bad.

I thought people were exaggerating that this was fanfic tier. It's fucking awful.

I'm just surprised it doesn't end "And then John was a zombie."

Wendig started out as a writer for White Wolf, if that clarifies things.

Meet the new Editor-in-Chief of Bleeding Cool. The Problem Glasses, smug half-smile and "May I speak to the manager" levels are of the charts!

Kaitlyn Booth, the New Editor-In-Chief of Bleeding Cool
Posted by Rich Johnston October 12, 2018
Yesterday, Kaitlyn Booth was made the new Editor-In-Chief of Bleeding Cool. I understand that this had been in the planning for some time but that certain events had sped up the procedure a tad.

Kaitlyn joined Bleeding Cool staff two years ago as our Senior Film writer, after reporting for the site from numerous comic book conventions. She worked as a professional film critic for WatchPlayRead for two years before that and is a member of the Utah Film Critics Association. You can also hear her on the Nerd Dome Podcast which she co-hosts.

And while film has been her focus, she’s also has big-time comic book knowledge.

She’s very much a firm hand on the tiller, and probably something – and someone – we all need here. Holding the site to high editorial standards, ensuring fair reporting, evaluating and editing content, all that jazz. I’ve been asked to play an advisory role, which I’m happy to do, but she’s in charge.

I, and the rest of the Bleeding Cool team, will be reporting to her on a daily basis and I look forward to taking my marching orders.

I submit that they officially rename themselves Bleeding Cunts for better accuracy.

I wish White Wolf would just go away. The same company that created the genuinely brilliant role-playing exercise Wraith: the Oblivion no longer exists.

No seriously. Fuck dungeons. If you find a group of players willing to play both their own character and a petty, selfish dark version of the character to their right, play 2nd Edition Wraith. Nothing else like it.

Hey now, don't get my hopes up. If only because I can see people like James Woods and Clint Eastwood cleaning up the ashes to rebuild anew.

It doesn't hurt that conservatives are more willing to tolerate opposing politics than nu-liberals are. Which is the damnedest thing since I was told by the media growing up that it was the opposite, big think right there.

Rich Johnston - "I, and the rest of the Bleeding Cool team, will be reporting to her on a daily basis and I look forward to taking my marching orders."

First he's revealed to have hit on someone who looks like the title character from "Throw Momma From the Train" then he types that hilariously submissive line. What a fucking cuck.

It's like he's just writing down his thoughts without any refinement... I'm guessing he never made it past English 101. Although, I have to wonder what the fuck the editor was doing. Did this book even have an editor?
Disney just wants drones to pump out books like all the other mass-produced soulless merchandise they sell. Quality is not a priority, so as long as the writer can deliver a manuscript on time without any glaring spelling mistakes or massive steps away from Disney-canon, it'll get published. It's a product, not an artwork. These are the books that are going to be written by a Disney AI once the technology is good enough.

They want to sell them, too, right? They pay enough they don't have to hire literal morons to write them, which is why a lot of actual professional SF writers used to write these things, like Kevin Anderson, Greg Bear, Dave Wolverton, Timothy Zahn, and Alan Dean Foster, just to name a few. They even used their real names because it didn't used to be a disgrace to write these things.

Even if you didn't hire actual name authors to write these things, you could literally find better writers than this dipshit off fanfiction.net.

My guess is he was probably on thin ice already over something, perhaps for just being such a godawfully shitty writer people complained, and this was the last straw.
