Nah that's exactly the extent of it, he literally murders them trannies by making comic roast videos in which he coughs a lot.Am I correct in thinking "well known harasser of people in comics" merely means "well known critic of people in comics"? Or does Ya Boy Zack go further than that?

He keeps a collection of tranny and brown people skulls in the closet where he makes his videos, next to pile of ripped comic books and his klansman coat. That's the reason we only ever see the floor and his feet in his videos.Nah that's exactly the extent of it, he literally murders them trannies by making comic roast videos in which he coughs a lot.

My favorite part in the whole convo is the "YOU FOLLOW HIS ACCOUNT" part. I can tell how outraged he was as he wrote it."you have been informed now". The sheer condescension in that last tweet is just sickening.
There is going to be some bias when I answer but anyways, not really. The "He's a harasser" arguments center around a bunch of the series he criticizes have non-white male protagonists (and creators because comics have been doing a lot of "black character=black writer") and times where he'd call a trans writer a "man in a wig" even though he still calls them by whatever they identify as. Usually people he criticized like Dan Slott/Bendis are ignored or his habit of 180ing when someone is nice and writes better stories like Chip Zdarsky.Am I correct in thinking "well known harasser of people in comics" merely means "well known critic of people in comics"? Chris Ryall, former editor in chief of IDW was fired by IDW (not stepped down voluntarily as he and the corrupt comic press are claiming).
He was fired.
More to the point, the firing was done directly on orders from Hasbro. With Hasbro threatening to yank the entire Hasbro license from IDW as the first of April had they not thrown him to the wolves
They threatened to invoke a clause in their licensing deal with IDW to prematurely end the licensing agreement for the entire Hasbro line of comics. They did this after it turned out that Ryall had OKed letting Sitterson go crying to Bleeding Cool and promote the book, after Hasbro ordered his book buried. But also, with acting in 100% bad faith in the compromises that Hasbro agreed to with IDW over how to deal with Sitterson and his continued involvement at IDW
Hasbro at first assumed that Sitterson went rogue and defied Hasbro orders over promoting Scarlet Strike Force on his own. But several people close to Ryall at IDW essentially contacted Hasbro to say that Sitterson was not acting alone and had full backing from Ryall.
For those not familiar; Sitterson and his laundry list of sins finally caught up to him after he mocked victims of the September 11th attacks.
The controversy caused already dying sales on GI Joe to crater to new lows and forced IDW to reboot it as Scarlet Strike Force. But when Ryall and IDW refused to denounce Sitterson, major GI Joe fan sites contacted Hasbro directly to complain and publicly stated for all to hear that they were unpersoning IDW and their GI Joe books until Sitterson was fired.
Hasbro forced IDW to apologize but the damage was done. GI Joe was canceled but three issues of Scarlet Strike Force was already finished with Sitterson as writer. Hasbro wanted all three issues's worth of art shredded and the book never released and Sitterson gone.
Ryall and IDW begged to Hasbro that they could not financially take the hit of destroying the material they already paid to produce. Even with dismal pre-orders, they claimed they couldn't just destroy the issues already produced.
A deal was struck, where the three completed issues of Sitterson's Scarlet Strike Force would be published. BUT, there would be conditions:
1. IDW couldn't do ANY promotion whatsoever for the book
2. Sitterson could not do any promotion for the book
3. Sitterson had to STFU and go complete incommunicado until further notice
4. Sitterson would never be allowed to write another IDW GI Joe book. If the book was to continue, it would be under a new writer (planned to be Mags Visaggio, though she decided instead that she wanted to do TF Vs Visionaries instead).
IDW agreed, but Chris Ryall was already planning to break the deal he made with Hasbro. He and Aubrey were already working on creating a new pen name for Aubry to keep writing GI Joe under. Furthermore, when pre-orders for the three issues were so dismal even by IDW standards, Chris went to Bleeding Cool and asked them to interview Aubrey and to help promote the book.
Bleeding Cool knew full well about the deal Chris made with Hasbro and were more than willing to help him and Aubrey violate the terms of the deal.
When the articles first came out, Ryall was terrified of Hasbro's wrath. And good reason; Hasbro's contracts with IDW expire at the end of 2018. And they've made no bones about how IDW has to make serious, massive changes if they want to keep the Hasbro master license. And that renewal is most likely not going to happen, if sales don't improve after an apocalyptic sales crash in 2017.
Hasbro acted fast, contacting IDW and telling them they wanted Sitterson gone for good. Not just banished from writing the Hasbro books, from IDW forever. Meaning they can't hire him to write any other licenses so long as they have the Hasbro licenses. Ryall refused at first, but when they pointed out that Ryall's refusal would result in them point-blank refusing to re-up the license for their properties? Ryall caved, because he knew doing so would kill any chances of IDW getting loans to keep it afloat after he ran the company into the ground.
At this point, the relationship between Hasbro and Ryall was bad. But they still didn't know what a ratfuck Ryall was. Ryall got cocky that he avoided any blowback for violating the terms of the deal he struck with Hasbro over Sitterson.
But several employees, were starting to panic that Ryall and his "woke" bullshit was going to kill IDW. This was intensified as Ryall resumed work with Sitterson, to find a way to create a front for him to continue writing GI Joe in spite of the fact that Hasbro made it clear they wanted nothing more to do with him.
The culminated in Ryall threatening to fire a secretary at the company, if she did not agree to become Aubrey's "front". Basically Aubrey would write a new GI Joe book, relaunched later this year during the Unicron event. The secretary would effectively let Aubrey use her name, create social media accounts in her name, and steal her identity in order to write for GI Joe and promote GI Joe. Ryall even came up with a new "backstory" for her, complete with her being a hardcore communist type (even though the secretary herself was a middle of the road moderate Hillary supporter). The secretary would receive a small pittance for her trouble, especially compared to the money Sitterson would get in return.
This angered some within the company and they decided to take the secretary (and the proof they had acquired regarding the scheme) to Hasbro. They sold Ryall out and basically told them what he was planning, along with how he had given Sitterson full permission to go crying to Bleeding Cool/promote Scarlet Strike Force.
Hasbro, needless to say, was pissed. VERY pissed.
The rats begged Hasbro to show forgiveness. And that they betraying their boss, in hopes of salvaging the company's relationship with Hasbro as far as painting the entire situation as Ryall being a rogue element in the company. And these were not closet conservatives; one of them was the person who heavily pushed IDW to hire Visaggio.
Hasbro ultimately contacted Ryall and the others in charge at IDW and told them they knew what Ryall did. That he betrayed the generous deal they made, in good faith with IDW, in dealing with Sitterson. Ryall, to his credit, owned up to everything but was shut down at every turn by Hasbro when he tried to use current year bullshit to defend himself. Hasbro then dropped the mother of all bombs on IDW.
There is a clause in their IDW contract, which says that Hasbro can void the deal at any time. The triggering event, is that if Hasbro finds out that IDW acted in malicious bad faith towards the company and their brands. By renegging on the deal he made with not promoting Scarlet Strike Force and muzzling Sitterson, along with conspiring to continue to employ Sitterson? Hasbro deemed it an active act of malicious bad faith, in terms of IDW handling their properties and their relationship with Hasbro.
Activating the clause would have voided the entire IDW master license for Hasbro properties; meaning they would lose everything before the end of the year (if the license was not renewed). From what has been said, the revocation would go into effect April 1st so they would still publish the stuff coming out in March. But anything planned for release April onward would be deader than disco and could not be released, because they would no longer have the license to make Hasbro comics.
The only way Hasbro would stay their hand and even consider entertaining, IDW's mad hope of keeping the license, was to kick Ryall to the curb. Ryall, to his credit, agreed but only if his sins were kept top secret. Mainly because, IDW could never let what Ryall did become public out of fear that Sega, Nickelodeon, etc would pull their license and no one would want to do business with IWD ever again. What with their history of betraying their license holders.
Ryall's media cronies like Heidi MacDonald are currently shilling the lie that he left voluntarily. But he was fired for actively fucking with Hasbro's bread and butter. People like ThatUmbrellaGuy and Diversity & Comics are pushing the sales collapse meme, because that's the only surface reason for why Ryall was fired. But they only know HALF the story and people like Heidi and Rich Johnston are terrified of the real story coming out. Because it would kill IDW deader than dirt if the extent that Ryall fucked the company over ever came out.
