It's a bit of a slow week in Comicsgate other than Matthew Fowler, a longtime CG chat resident and creator (the latter being more important) launching Tyger Blue #2 later tonight and newly minted CG King Irene Stychalski complaining about how she's still being given the run-around by whoever's in charge of printing the color copies of Fiendish, evading her with excuses like "paper shortages" 7 months after she filed her print order and shipping her damaged merchandise like so much Mitch Breitweiser.

Reading these tweets, I was tempted to write it off as incompetence and perhaps an unsurprising fuckup from the bubbly, effervescent simp magnet and former Heather Antos employee CG has come to know and monetarily love, as "Renie". Later on though, I happened to be watching a Patrick Thomas Parnell livestream where both Fowler and Irene Strychalski were guesting and Parnell invited the latter to vent about her problems with her printer. At 40 minutes in, Parnell and Fowler (known as something of a "fudge detector" after confronting Varian and Lola Grant of IndieVolt) share their own results of looking into Comic Impressions, the company Strychalski had hired out to print Fiendish.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=HEo3SdsKAMs:2473

Parnell goes on to mumble a story about how his channel started out with a guy who was working as an editor at Scout Comics. Things were cool, at which point his boss demanded he sever relations with Parnell once he the latter declared CG and also demanded $1500 for his time going on youtube with Patrick Thomas Parnell, which is fair given that we're talking about "PTP" here but if I'm not getting paid for watching him then he shouldnt get paid for being there. Point being, Scout Comics does not like Comicsgate. And in any case the two note, it's mighy odd that Scout Comics can publish 14 comics per month on time and it's only Fiendish that's encountering months-long "paper shipment delays"

Because while I have never heard of Comic Impressions before, I have heard of Scout Comics.

Although I don't talk about, sometimes I peruse the little known Comic Burrito SJW gayop discord, run by the owners of the self-same youtube channel. They generally occupy their time contacting indie publishers and the like to tattle if any of their clients have Comicsgate affiliations. In May 8th, 2021, Nick Kohn asked "dab282"a question about "what Scout [Comics] would do if they wound up with a client who turned out to be CG. Dab282 answers that this has already happened as he covertly fucked over Bill Raupp, creator of Grok Comics, a very small creator of the "Christian CG" persuasion:

View attachment 3453374

Now as for the identity of the "dab282" account specifically, this wasn't very hard to figure out as the culprit in question actually appeared on Comic Burrito's youtube channel - Scout Comics co-publisher David A. Byrne (@dab282)

View attachment 3453394

Now this sounds very similar to what's going on with Fiendish - stonewalling with delays until Irene Strychalski is no longer able to pursue legal action much like Raupp was. That is, if Comic Impressions is in fact a subsidiary or publishing arm of Scout Comics, as Patrick Thomas Parnell believes it to be. If so, Irene's suspicions that they are waiting out some kind of "legal limitation for taking responsibility" are well founded and she may wish to act accordingly.
Good research, thank you.

According to this article Comic Impressions / Direct Impressions is the printer used by Scout, not part of their company. archive.ph/wIbG6 article link

Scout has another secret weapon with Cape Coral printer Direct Impressions, which prints Scout’s comics under the name Comic Impressions (and now prints for other comic companies, too).
“I have to give them credit, because they were still able to print,” Haick says. “So we were one of the few companies that were still printing at the start of the pandemic.”

Here's Direct Impressions business profile.
The people who own the printer are different than Scout Comics

Their bios are on Scout Comics website also. While it looks (see pic) like Scout is a big client of the printer, them being the same company is a conspiracy theory for now.

Zack launched Jawbreakers forever at a $1 price point.

scrnli_7_4_2022_11-14-19 PM.png

This shit with Irene and the Gall of this printer in particular. As much as I continue to be disappointed with Ya Boi Zack, these two incidents, it kind of exemplifies the frustration, and the comradery of what's been going on in this scene. You have a reminder via Irene in that SJWs will use underhanded bullshit to run a blacklist on independent creators. Then you have Zack, someone who was a victim of SJW bullshit, and an independent creator who continues to fuck up and Still get support long after he's abandoned the cause.

Irene is a great reason to support CG. Zack used to be. I guess I want to compare Irene and Zack because this should be the biggest news in CG. Part of me wonders if Irene has a chance to be the "new" zack, and if there eventually will be a comparison between the two. Will Irene eventually launch Fiendish Forever after years of not delivering books? Will she be what Zack could have been?

Are you backing JB Forever?

Oh holy shit he snuck another Narzak joint in this lmao.

He is selling the book for a dollar plus five dollars in shipping. If you hate, Zack you buy this book as it will cost him more to make the book for you than the 6 dollars you paid for it. He is getting his ass kicked in this deal.

If I buy the book Zack will just forever be working on it while he holds onto my six bucks

I still haven't gotten Grand Bazzar. I actually forgot about it till now much like Cash Grab. Fool me once...

I can sort of understand the concept of using a heavily discounted new Jawbreakers campaign as a chance to stealth launch a couple of other books and maybe an opportunity to get rid of some of the unsold garbage books taking up space in his friend's spare room. But it seems like this isn't going to do all that well.

He's got 5 hours left and it's sitting at just under $90k, so it may just be his first six-figure campaign in almost two years but just barely. For a campaign offering two new Jawbreakers books and the latest Narzack horseshit to just barely reach $100k almost seems like a failure if we're to believe his claim of spending $25,000 to make a single comic. That means if this campaign makes $100k, Zack will clear $25k after the $75k it cost to make the three new books. He's really taking a bath on this one.

That aside, I think the art on Jawbreakers Forever looks great.

it's more than "talk" if we're actually writing and doing some design work for the upcoming projects.

i don't think it's necessary for a creator to share their own plan of producing. Part of the fun is the surprise to the actual fans of these IPs. Zack is going to do Zack, but me getting a RNRN trailer done was a big deal. He didn't want it but I felt like it was a needed thing when promoting.
In my case? So promote but do less live streams? nurturing spergy beefs? I got one faggot mad because I wouldn't work for him or do his logos, he got shitty, and I drew him getting head from his boyfriend... now he randomly make videos about me from behind a block. that's not equal. thats gay as fuck. not as gay as Blunder Island.... but pretty gay. Same faggot that tweeted he had proof I was sending superchats to women and was going to reveal them on YOUR show? give me a break, and give this " no beef/ no drama" advice to the faggot that has it monetized.

I'm just replying to you commenting on RNRN, with some additional stuff that's not been announced.

I am ignoring JDA, it's why I didn't do a reply to his video he made connecting me to American Chavez ( wtf?) I don't know what my live streams should be... I rarely do it because I AM working on said books. I post and tweet art from these projects... you don't follow me, but your saying I haven't kept you better informed of what I'm doing? what? I don't want to talk about these other projects until they're near finished or Zack, Shane, PTP, Irene, Commie Mark, or EVS has started talking about it. My channel is small AF , but it isn't a wall of negativity and victimhood.

never said it was anybody's fault. You commented on my book and I just wanted to spill some beans, and correct what you had wrong.
" where's the tweets about these plans?" i'm telling you about them now. it's not public yet, so of course nobody else knows. duh.
"here's some stuff that hasn't been announced"
"why didn't you tell me or tweet about it.. not that I follow you or anything ."
haha! :lit:

Matt, I think the internet might just not be for you. You're kinda batshit insane lmao

Zack launched Jawbreakers forever at a $1 price point.
It's a weird about face as, instead of sperging about "anti-customers" and how guys like Iconic Comics having their shit together are making day-to-day crowdfund dogfuckery like his look bad as he has for the past couple of years, Simple Zack finally accepted the reality that his brand is kind of really fucked because of shit like that as well the Waid lawsuit and farting around for 20 months while Jawbreakers is overdue, and is taking drastic action to course correct. A $1 graphic novel that's already in the can is a great way of a) drawing in as many potential backers as possible and b) retaining said backers by delivering something already done as promptly as possible.

Even with a drop in backers from Grand Bizarre (4327) to Forever (3101 so far) is steep even with the loss leader that is a one dollar comic that's placed Jawbreakers below Impossible Stars 1, Meyer in his latest video sounds elated at being able to break 2000 backers for the first time in two years and that if this model holds up, he plans on running $1 books indefinitely making his money off his back catalogue. I'm doubtful that the current customers will keep buying at the same rate as they are now when back issues are available to purchase for the first time ever, but it's very possible the $1 flagships will draw in new backers in numbers able to sustain the back catalogue model. Whatever the case, even if Meyer bumped up the costs of Jawbreakers to cost like Tim Lim does, even $10 hardcovers delivered reliably I imagine is going to have a lot of repeat business.

Of course, if he fucks this up with some Zackism like "hey guys its ya boi zack i was mowing my lawn yesterday and was really thirsty for some gatorade but the town where i live doesn't sell gatorade they only sell this cheap knockoff brand called allajuice, it's a weird name, allajuice hunh hunh hunh and it tastes like ass. so anyway i realized that shipping out $1 comics is more trouble than it's worth so I'm going to refund the dollar and just send out the full price comics thanks bye", that's going to be it for him. We'll see.

supposedly, Grand Bizarre is about to start getting fulfilled According to the updates Indiegogo sends me. But, yeah… I won’t be holding my breath either.

Edwin Boyette took a short break from his book reading/drawing streams of little relevance to this thread and drama, and released a criticism of culture war grifters like Nerdrotic and their take on the new Amazon LOTR series. It is inspiring some ire from the culture war faithful in the comments but in truth is on point as anyone weary with this sort of nerd rage content knows. The deepest cut to Gary here - Amazon is being taken to task for being too "woke" but make sure to use the official Nerdrotic Amazon affiliate link so he can earn on your purchases! Recommended for dunking on Fandom Menace but zero "pepperjuice in the peehole" to be found here.

Honestly my standards are already on the Floor. We need to strike at the Big Two in their moment of weakness and show our Triumph. otherwise #Comicsgate will jjust rot in the little corner of the Internet. I hate to Admit this but I think SJWs gain 10 steps, while we only take 1/2 a step.

Has Simple Zach achieved the next stage? Has evolved into a SuperSimp?

Crazy. I'll maintain this, Lost souls was a coup and he has fumbled ever since.

He went from Jon Malin and a 122 true graphic novel to Aaron Alfece and 96 pages to today. That's two novels in five years with a steep decline in art and content. Richard isn't the only one skimping on product. Despite charging the same amount; Rekt is a little more than half the size of Blood Honey.

Not only has CG stuck to charging people the same amount of money for a comic book, they've shown a complete lack of urgency in delivering said product; charging from one fundraiser to the next.

With guys like Frog and Malin I understand. They're artists who had problem in their entire career. But Richard was primed to become the center of CG content. He missed out on the spot Earnst has come to occupy by charging a (comparatively) reasonable amount per page, delivering in a timely manner, and keeping his franchises going.

CG kindof needed that and while some people like Clint Stoker came close...Simp Zach could have and was positioned to be the man.

BLOODHONEY is 60 pages of art and story.
REKT PLANET is 73 pages of art and story.

Edwin does drawing streams? I might check that out.

I 'member I used to follow other drawing streams, he said, looking pointedly at the comment above his own.

It's a case of badly expressed points from Fandom Menace grifters versus Edwin pivoting to hit them in their soft bellies. They can't respond without either looking like cucks or racists.

The obvious answer is that in a nation where only maybe one in ten people are black it makes zero sense to saturate advertisements there. It goes back to a systemic attempt to overcompensate for Hollywood's past racism by being extra racist against 'white' people. Perfect solution really. See a house burning? Welp, throw gasoline on it.

Kudos to Edwin. This is what he should have done to start with. Blood sports.

I backed the new Jawbreakers. I figure for a buck why not.

Ernst has made two books this entire time. That's half of what Malin's put out, and far less than RCM so it's a joke to say this. I've made 43 issues during this time, by contrast. No one is in my league storytelling-wise. I'm a true golden/silver age pulp author like Poul Anderson or Edgar Rice Burroughs running laps around Good Guy Doug's self-insert story where he larps being a gay priest.
