Richard just can't go a day without saying something. It's also just a fucking title. You know, things that are meant to grab the viewers.

would Richard have liked it better if he had "Disrrupting the Narrative: Why Wicked is actually really good for Hollywood" which for Richard is a very succinct title.

Yea, Miles was supposed to be his own character in the Spider-Man world. Disney and Marvel being Disney and Marvel turned him into the Unlikable Peter Darker. Eric July tried to defend Miles until the writing got to a point he can't do it anymore. Kamala Khan would have been popular if her originals were similar to the shitty tv show, and she wasn't written as a stereotype Sunni Muslims hate.
 
Does Zack even realize that Wicked is not a Disney princess show? It predates Maleficent as the "the villain is actually a misunderstood victim of oppression/patriarchy" trope (with bonus of Elphaba being a POC on the account of green skin) that is all the rage these days, and it is also a long-running musical that allowed Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth to remain relevant in pop culture. It's practically a cult favorite among faghags/future non-binary straight girls and gays. It is for millennials what Rent were for boomers.

Reducing Wicked to "Disney" and "princess" is pure ignorance and retardation as the significance and relevance of the musical and now movie have nothing to do with either. And this mongoloid retard calls himself a critic of pop culture? Go back to licking other men's jizz on used up porn actresses, please.

I don't know that it would make that much of a difference. It's not as if Drinker went with a different headline, Zack will go "hmm maybe I was wrong. Drinker is a stand-up guy with integrity and honest opinions." He'll pretty much keep finding some random detail to hone in on as if it's some kind of irrefutable evidence and then badger his audience about it over and over again every day.
 
This leans more towards general culture war type stuff rather than comic books but I can't get past how people like Nerdrotic, Drinker, and others will constantly go on about how woke Hollywood is and how bad the actors are, yet will continue to watch and review the stuff. Even IF Wicked wasn't that bad, why would you want to give money to people who hate you? Saw something similar with Apple, apparently they put out one of their Christmas ads, and it featured an all-White family. People were talking about how that is a major vibe shift. Did the people that made the bad ads and promoted them get fired? Are the executives that are in charge of marketing get fired? No, nothing actually changed, companies just realized that they were pushing too hard too fast and they decided to pull back a little bit, to the point that when you see something that is COMPLETELY NORMAL (ie a White family) all the sudden that is something deserves literal praise rather than just being something that should be considered normal.

2. Are you making a "there putting the woke away" argument? I'm not sure I trust that personally.
3. Trump FUCKING DEMOLISHED the dems on election day, this means that the people who never gave a shit (Corporations) will now test the waters to see what they can do and the ones that have middle managers that are woke will still try to push their bullshit, the Regime is scared and hurting but it's not over yet.

It's also for views. Playing the YouTube game means you need to pump out vids daily, on current trends and hot topics, and spending hours every day agonizing over the title, length of video, choice of thumbnails, etc. It's really a lot of work and even monetary investment for a gig in which only 5%, a generous estimation, break out and make it big and become multi-millionaire online celebrities.

You really cannot ignore what everyone else is talking about, therefore, or else you'll get FOMO and, worse, your fans may watch those that are talking about it and become bigger fans of those people than you.

Also, woke and anti-woke need one another to survive and make money. It's like cancer fundraising "charities" and breast cancer. The moment they announce a cure for breast cancer, which these charities allegedly work tirelessly to raise funds for the search for one, then they have no place in this world... and they won't want that as it also means the end of their paycheck and relevance. It's the same here. The anti-wokes may claim END DEI END WOKE but the moment the dream comes true, they actually lose. So, deep in their hearts, they want the woke to never go away.

It’s a shame his comic is somehow worse than the average Disney slop. He’s a good YouTuber and marketer but it’s a pity his product is subpar.

I used to religiously follow a lot of the comicsgate guys and a lot of their alternative comics are either bad, shipped out late, or about the same quality as the stuff they criticize. It’s unfortunate but true. A significant number are also tourists or culture crusaders looking for something to get up in arms about.

You’re 100% correct. They absolutely need each other. It’s why sometimes they’ll label something as woke but later retreat and say it was good, if it was well enough received by enough of their core audience. Or they’ll look for drama. At the end of the day a lot of YouTubers that are anti-woke are broken records with nothing substantial to contribute. They’re tourists going from one drama to another. Whether they’re SJWs, skeptics, or -gators. I think this is in large part thanks to YouTube drama getting more views and clicks than actually delivering on good work. It’s not necessarily the money but the endorphins from getting views and subscribers. This is the greatest tragedy imo cause you can see a lot of these CG guys even when they hate each other, try to create content and it often gets less engagement than some gay drama whore bull shit.

Off topic, I know, but I bought two Marvel Legends action figures during a bargain bin sale, and they cannot stand upright, no action figure stands are provided to help me keep them on their feet, and there is barely any poseability due to poor articulation. Oh, and did I mention that THEY CANNOT STAND UPRIGHT no matter how I twist their postures around.

In the end, I did find one single way to display them. Took a pic, loaded it on my Instagram and tagged Hasbro, Marvel, and Disney with my complaint. Sadly, no response LOL.

If these two are indicators of the general quality of Hasbro's toys, I can't imagine normies rushing out to collect them.

Critical Drinker has been showing up pretty regularly with Residence of Evil, a fan channel dedicated to mostly Resident Evil playthroughs, information, news, interviews and wider reach to horror games in general. They have 463K subscribers and I find them to be a pretty chill channel, but I'm also a huge Resident Evil fan. It's funny to see how much Critical Drinker expands his reach by playing the youtube game. Picks things that he ENJOYS and gives his audience whatever social experience they want from him. Wheras Richard hides himself away in his boyfriend's house playing VR Batman and getting jealous that other men are having fun without him.

Reminder that Zack feels "pressured by nerds" to like Dredd, a film many regard as being not just a great adaptation of a comic character but one of the best action films ever made. There's no slavish devotion to the minutia of Judge Dredd lore, there's no attempt to appeal to a nonexistent normie audience, there's no message other than "Judge Dredd will fuck up your shit". It's just 90-odd minutes of Karl Urban mutilating people with bullets. And Zack feels pressured to enjoy it.
