Just outta dumb curiosity I downloaded the sample to Chuck Wendig's Miriam Black series. Unlike "Aftermath" this isn't just some quick Sci-Fi pulp fiction to pay the bills, this is Chuck's baby that he almost got developed into a series. Well thankfully it lacks the em dashes of "Aftermath" but it still has tiny sentences that remind me of the children's books I read in elementary school but now with edgy characters. Plot is Chick has ESP and knows how people will die, so she goes around killing and fucking people I guess. Opening was boring and here's a couple lines that made me groan.

Any poetic last words? You know, Either the wallpaper goes, or I do?" She waves him off. "I know, an Oscar Wilde refererence. I reached too far for that one. My bad."
Miriam turns her hitchhiker's thumb into a middle finger, and she yells out, "Eat a dick and die, fuckpie!"

Is that bitch Plastic Man or something? Because turning a thumb into a finger sounds pretty eldritch.

He can practice, he just has to be admitted pro hac vice and there's no reason this won't be granted.
It's so bizarre because I'm used to attorneys usually just sending clients not in their state to someone in the state where the case is handled and they get a finder's fee from that. Anything more is just more work for little gain.

Personally I'm willing to believe that the big guys are funding this since Zaid is still participating, it seems like he's just milking Waid at this point. Am I wrong to assume that?

It gets worse when you consider he's trying to mimic Dickens who's short sentences came from his days as a court reporter.

Literally a handful only talked about it. They were too busy virtue signalling about nazis or some other stupid thing. The only people that actually made a big fuzz about it were the CG spergs.

Gail The Hutt didn't even think to virtue signal about it:

She did have some things to say about him tho:

Already a gem.

Cows come in herds.

Zaid's chimp out about Nicky Rackets not considering Zaid needed to be admitted pro hoc was lolcow behavior for a couple reasons. First, there's no reason at all for Zaid to be paying any attention to some YouTube guy who gets drunk and makes fun of silly internet lolsuits. Second, even if Zaid heard about Nicky Racket's video, mentioning it at all on Twitter does not advance his client's legal interests. Third, his "neener neener neener - you made a mistake, dummy" chimp out was pure salt.

Turns out Zaid is a cow himself.

Cows come in herds.

I don't know about actual fan numbers, but Buffy and X-Files had the highest fan visibility online at the end of the nineties. I didn't know anybody IRL who liked it, the vampire people all orbited Anne Rice books. Internet fujoshi were all into it though. I don't think people smack talked it, because half the people anywhere were YAAAAS QUEENing it, so you would have needed a lolcow-esque lack of social graces.
It was on Dr Shaym too.

That Jan Arrah entity sounds like a SocJus real basket case too.

Well, the Legion of Super-Heroes fanbase tended to be proto-SJWs who were into SocJus before it was "cool." In the case of Jan Arrah AKA Element Lad, there were parts of the fanbase that believed he was gay because Jim Shooter made a remark about it possibly being so because the character wore pink in his uniform. I heard stories that one of the Legion writers (Paul Levitz, I believe) gave him them a girlfriend in the supporting character, Shvaughn Erin. Then his successors Tom and Mary Bierbaum engaged in a lot of fanwank and turned Shvaughn into a homosexual man called Sean who took a sex-changing drug to secure Jan's love. Mind I remind you that this was in the 90s, so this was something of a big deal to the LGBT community.

Granted, Zero Hour effectively wiped this out with the (first) Legion reboot, but the fanbase has embraced identity politics for a long time now. I don't mind Shrinking Violet and Lightning Lass as a couple, but I'm more into the blending of science fiction and superhero in a future setting. Identity politics feel quaint in comparison. Personally, I would love to see Grant Morrison take a crack at the Legion.

It still amaze me that Chuck Austen didn't enter in this shitshow to sperg about trolls.
It say too much about comic author that one of the most well known lolcows in the comic industry in the 00s didn't appear because he know that trolls will laugh at him(and is not like he dissappeared, he worked in Steve Universe and is working in She-Ra reboot)

You know, considering other SocJus types like pushing "the future is BROWN" meme, I'm surprised they've never tried showing that with some variant of the Legion or Marvel 2099. It's one of those curious things you notice like how outside some lines in Great Lake Avengers, Marvel weirdly never touched Fat Acceptance....or never having troons as protagonists. They usually stick to white teen girl, black man, or gay white guy for their diversity characters.

I'm only saying this because it's surprising considering the direction of the industry and not at all something they should do. Don't blame me if they announce an all black reboot of Legion of Super-heroes.

I think the reason Austen hasn't weighed in is because he has more or less been blackballed from the industry for being an asshat who wrote some of the worst shit for mainstream comics until this latest batch of Fanfiction.net hacks got in. I mean, look at all the wonderful contributions he made to the X-Men during his tenure:

- Made Havok the main character and leader of the team (which is lol to most longtime fans for so many reasons).
- Broke up the longtime Havok/Polaris relationship so he could ship Havok with his OC, a racist nurse who was modeled after his wife. And yes, Austen regularly told people in interviews that he saw himself as Havok.
- Speaking of awkward relationships, started a romance between Angel and Husk, a woman who was at least 20 years his junior and maybe around 18-20 years old (Marvel's sliding timeline gets weird with character ages). Oh, and they proceeded to consummate their relationship in the sky in front of the team, Husk's mom, Husk's family, and who knows how many other wandering hicks in eastern Kentucky.
- Oh! Angel is also apparently descended from a branch of angelic mutants that fought a war against demonic mutants (of which Nightcrawler is descended).
- Nightcrawler, by the way, went from being a practicing Christian to a devout Catholic studying to enter the priesthood. But turns out all of this was a plot by an anti-mutant group to stir up some anti-mutant hysteria by having the demonic looking Nightcrawler administer evil communion wafers that will disintegrate people thus making everyone think the Rapture is occurring (something Catholics don't believe in).
- Also, Nightcrawler has two penises. Don't know why.
- Additionally, the big new threat to the X-Men? Not Magneto. Not the Brotherhood. Mutant furries who were apparently super advanced mutants despite just kind of being durable werewolves.

I am sure I forgot some details and that's not even getting into his run on Superman with DC but, as you can see, he was clearly a valuable writer to the company.

Don't blame me if they announce an all black reboot of Legion of Super-heroes.

Interesting factoids: Ferro Lad (a character that had only been in the Legion for six issues) was supposed to be black, but DC was afraid they would lose distribution in the Civil Rights-era south so Jim Shooter killed him off by sacrificing himself to save the galaxy from a Sun Eater. The Legion would induct a black member named Tyroc into the Legion in the 70s, who creators despised because he was the worst "angry black man" stereotype imaginable. Mike Grell gave him the worst possible costume as a form of protest. Interestingly, the first Invisible Kid (Lyle Norg, who died in Superboy #203) had a successor who hailed from the Ivory Coast and was embraced by the fans.

Oh, and then Mark Waid race-lifted Star Boy in the "Threeboot" incarnation of the team. He was pretty much the universe's chew toy. Oops! That version was the one that appeared in the animated series.

Shit he was responsible for that?! Fuck that dude. He did my boy Jono dirty. Husk and Chamber forever.

Marvel 2099 was actually very diverse: Spider-Man 2099 was half Mexican, Ghost Rider 2099 was Asian, and X-Men 2099 had a Vietnamese man, a Korean man, a black woman, and an Arab woman, then later a Hispanic woman. Can't recall any gay or trans characters, though.

Jeez, this cunt again?

Look lady, if Marvel hasn't gifted you a book or whatever after you've now spent YEARS digging in literally every dissenting opinion that hits Twitter then it's just not happening. Move on.

EDIT: I wonder if it's possible for Ya Boi to get a restraining order on this bitch by now. It seems like she's always on the frontline to interfere with his business ventures or just spread whatever new malicious lie has been cooked up.
