Next time you talk to Zack, tell him he should do a Jawbreakers stop bank robbers story.
And if he goes about "I want to do epic stories" remind him that there can bew epic bank heists to be stopped.
He is talking the talk about other comic pros not doing such stories, it is time to walk the walk (and it can easily be a regural JB story from before God King.
If Zack is still having to force himself to work on the writing in 10 minute bursts or whatever at two in the morning 200 days after backers were supposed to have received the product, one has to question how interested he genuinely is in working on Jawbreakers at this point instead of these dumbass boomer parables he wants to crank out.

200 days late. What a fucking disaster.

I'm just gonna say that if I ever get my copy of Grand Bizzare, it'll be the last piece of media by Richard C. Meyer I'll ever own. The fact that he's still writing a book that was due nearly 3/4 of a year ago is extremely irritating to hear. Maybe if he didn't take on so many topical and dated side projects, it'd be finished by now.

TBH I lost a lot of interest in his work when he made Quarantine, which was effectively everything he ever complained about in a modern comic book.

Also yeah, it's been so long I actually legit forget if I got Grand Bizzare or Expendables before the timer ran out. What I do know is he can be a prissy artist all he wants, but god knows I refuse to enable his ideas if he can't be fucked to release.

Maybe he can pay Chuck Dixon to write a decent story for him. Chuck Dixon’s backstory on Devil Dog was the best thing about G0D King.

Of course it would. If he focused exclusively on the Jawbreakers stuff you'd have your book already and the fourth installment would probably be somewhere in the latter stages of funding. The Narwhal scribble book, What If G.I. Joe was a Band Your Dad Liked, and Quarantine Star Trek are more important than that.

Zack is both stubborn and possessed of a terrible lack of focus, the combination being detrimental to his brand of late. Maybe it's for the best that he never broke into the mainstream industry. I can't see him listening to an editor, meeting a regular deadline, or even finishing an arc coherently.

Micah Curtis's Three Knights, Four Days Part 1 closed with $25,560 from 445 backers, while Jon Del Arroz's Deus Vult currently sits in-demand with $25,573 from 517 backers. Congratulations to @TheCosmicWarrior for defeating the evil of Micah Curtis and unlocking his 25K stretch goal, a map of the land included in the book.

Our own resident @FROG set the CG internet scape ablaze after stating on a recent livestream that he felt the Comicsgate Youtube community was "stuck in a rut." Master of Letters, Eric Weathers, clipped the statement posting it to twitter to ask the CG audience what type of streams they found entertaining.

Our own Nasser Rabadi / @NasserRabadi13 found himself on the wrong end of a Warcampaign gayop attempt, as an alt account tied to the group released what appeared to be DMs of Nasser hitting on a 13 year old girl, defending MAPs, badmouthing Ethan, Jon Malin and Liam Gray. The young horror writer found an ally in an unexpected place, as Renfamous confirmed that the DMs were actually a photoshop.

While the culprit was the Warcampaign Best Gay Ops twitter account which is believed to be an alt of Matthew Hanson / Panboy Soychild Donglover [dox], a tweet from Nasser claims the true culprit behind the photoshopped DMs was another Warcampaign member named Smiling Bandito.

Googling Smiling Bandito reveals a livestream by fellow kiwi @TESTEFY-HD titled "Why did SMILING BANDITO admit to trying to DOX me? w/LIVE CALL INS" during August of 2020. The stream is close to 3 hours in length, perhaps Testefy can offer the thread a TLDR on the situation?

FROM YOUTUBE
Continuing with our top twitter story @NasserRabadi13 recently streamed the evidence proving his innocence in Warcampaign Worst Gay OPs attempt to tar him as a pedophile. He also efapped a recent Sketch stream in which Sketch accused Nasser of being apart of Warcampaign and deleting Sketch's comments from Frog's channel.

DA Talks and Vikki continued their CGDG streams and were once again joined by @FROG to discuss several topics which included Liam building his studio, the CG trademark dispute with Preston Poulter, Poulter's attempts to tar Comicsgate with Slick Jimmy and the recent drama surrounding Adam Post.

Michael Bancroft hosted a stream were the topic of the day was discussing the statement from Frog on the current lack of entertainment within the CG Youtube community.

The Comic Book Patriot Hut continues to goad Frog into appearing on his channel, this time declaring that Frog never had any intention of appearing on his channel. The Patriot Hut has now rescinded the invitation due to nasty comments left by Frog and his "alt accounts." The Hut then did a live reading of the comments that Frog left in his comment section and those of the "alt accounts."

Perch hypothesizes on what it might look like for comic companies to pull back on politics, citing recent examples of policies enacted within the tech industy.

Well Read Reviews continued it's review show last week, without the titular host, this time hosted by @VIkkiVerse. VikkiVerse and the regular cohosts reviewed Doug Ernst's Soulfinder Demon's Match and it's sequel Black Tide. The books were positively received when Doug Ernst joined them on the show at the [1:06:11] mark to talk about the series and utilizing Iconic Comics over crowdfunding site Indiegogo.

There was an interesting development in the chat during the review which I will briefly mention. Around the [1:12:03] time span Matt Bahr, the artist on Rock N Roll Ninja, who was recently doxed by @Carmina Burana appeared in chat accusing Dark Gift of being his doxer.

Congratulations on causing your first off-site shit storm @Carmina Burana or should I say Dark Gift Comics? ;)

That's the CG News Update this week, there was another drama between Mandy Summers and Warcampaign however due to IRL commitments I've been spending less time following this autism fest. It had something to do with the Kyle Ritter drama and someone called Shae Zombie and Cyborg, if you check twitter I think the tweets are still up. Archive sites are also currently being a pain and I'll edit in the Frog tweet archive later.

As always take care and stay safe out there! :bluelabel:

Out of the ones to watch, things are really not quite looking that good for Wulfsbane, Wahid, Hexwood, and Columns, all ending in the next week. Of course, they could see a bit of divine intervention the way that Raptor got, though they’re much farther away than that was at the time.

Out of the others, I could see Skipt failing due to the NFT fad starting to die out, though the rest are either on their way to funding or too early to properly call at this point.

Special mention to LURE, though, which appears to have had a sort of divine intervention of its own: Someone appears to have paid $400 to get the original cover art of the dick pic book.

On a very, very different note, with all the talk of Zack’s output, it’s worth bringing his full planned schedule back up. Of course, things could have changed since it was posted on New Year’s, though… I doubt it, as his next book does seem to be the Bin Laden “comedy”.
For New Year’s Day, Zack just announced a bunch of new comics.

-TMNT but instead of turtles it’s adult Vietnam veterans
-Comedy about Bin Laden escaping into Las Vegas
-Street Fighter expies in a Predator-esque story against Mortal Kombat expies
-499 Book 2, apparently doubling down on Narwhal
-Tripling, actually, there’s also a “Hollywood story” with them too
-Iron Sights 3: One Good Dog
-Another printing of Lost Souls, distributed solely as add-ons for his other campaigns
-Impossible Stars 2: Escape Pod
-And finally, some sort of “magical realism superhero story” with an old-school Marvel writer.

All of these are currently planned for this year. He also mentions plans for 2022 and 2023, though with much less detail.

With how his campaigns have been consistently getting less attention, and the bad publicity from dropping the lawsuit, I really don’t see this increased output being remotely sustainable at this point.

Oh, he did (announce a Jawbreakers book), for ‘22! Along with Impossible Stars 3, “Regiment”, and, inexplicably, Iron Sights 4. 2023 has Impossible Stars 4 and two more Iron Sights spinoffs.

...Did people even really like Iron Sights, to give it six books total like this?

Lol they are too afraid to even look at the site. You know that's a lie. I'd love to dox these fags for making shit up. All that gay ops bullshit comes straight out of comicsgate.

I didn't believe for a second that our boy Nasser had anything to do with those fake ass screenshots. WC is getting desperate and ramping up hard. They aren't going to stop until one of them gets arrested.

An Osama Bin Laden "comedy"? Jesus Chris, Ethan... Ethan, come get your boy.

He's making a video every single day about an industry that turned his hobby into shit and actively hates him. If if had to do that I'd have jumped out a window at this point.
Imagine being that miserable and then having to play nice with a bunch of spergs who want him to live stream about the same shit that's making him miserable to sell his comics. And they act like he owes them.

Poor Zach.

He should just go back to IT and pretend none of this shit ever happened.

They aren't going to stop until one of them gets arrested.
Matt/Pan has already been arrested once for this shit. He's not exactly clever.

Books about Vietnam vets and Bin Laden. Does Zack know who his audience is or why they back his shit? He loses good will with them every time he launches something that isn't Jawbreakers while people are waiting for Jawbreakers.

The comments on the Grand Bizarre IGG campaign are becoming a little more testy, with the latest one noting what he said about the book not being written yet, correctly pointing out that they're still going to be waiting for lettering, assembly of the print file (which Zack could hold hostage with his OCD), and Zack fulfilling the orders himself. He has already made it clear he's not going to update the due date for a book that's already late. "Once it's late, it's late" he says. Great customer service.

To be fair EVS followed this up with reading twitter for 45 minutes, it might have been just a giant shitpost.

I thought reading 300 tweets from black people dunking on Bryan Hitch was pretty funny. People complained in the chat, but it was the funny kind of complaining.

I have no regrets.
