Fair enough.I do agree that there is a quality game hidden underneath all it's flaws and redditization, but then again I could say the same thing about Avowed. Unfortunately, unlike Avowed, I doubt you can get past Deadfire by skipping every single conversation
If you tried it and didn't like it, then there's nothing more to be said on the subject.
Sure, the first game is dry and a slog and simply forgettable, because every 5 minute you're getting a huge exposition text about some faggy lore, but from what I remember, it was one of the first games that came with the resurrection of CRPGs as a genre.i remember beating the PoE
but i can hardly remember anything about it
i do recall that castle was build on top of the giant statue (which is retarded and my first thought was we have to sell this place as fast as possible) and that i chose the "wrong" option when i killed a guy who murder his own wife and a kid and appointed his brother to the throne
nothing else, no names, no bits of main quest, no ending, hell i don't even remember what class i was. and i played this game at 2020
for comparison i played kingmaker in 2019 and i remember it a lot more vividly
You could say that PoE had to walk so Kingmaker could run.
