The age of consent is different in every state in the US (none below 16 but are as old as 18) and there are plenty of maps that show the age of consent in every country. It is unfortunate to see teens with people much older than them(I knew a bunch of people in school bragging about their adult gf/bfs and tldr they all regretted it)

Yeah, I think the age of consent is like 13 or something in japan... jesus.

I can see why students get crushes on teachers, sometimes people in that position of power is attractive to some people; and sometimes the teachers are just hot, plain and simple lmfao

But people who are just in relationships with older people in general, I don't get it. I mean there's people who are 10 years apart and it works, but those people are in their 30s and 40s, they've both been through life, and have their shit together. Both are mature, grown adults (the human brain doesn't stop developing until 25 i think?)
I know that 2 and a half years isn't much of a gap for 16 and 19, but one person is an adult under the eyes of the law. The other is legally seen as a child.
The same can be said for anyone who is under 18 with someone in their mid to late 20s. I'm gonna avoid a powerlevel, but will guarantee that a lot of people that are interested in a 17 year old at 24-28 years of age are usually immature, manipulative (or at least try to be), or just fucking weird because what the fuck is wrong with finding someone their own age??

Whenever i look at people who regret it from school or college, it's always those people who weren't even legally adults at the time but thought that because they were 16 and old enough to consent, they were mature enough to handle a relationship with an adult.

Also, that picture sums up everyone on tumblr. Thinking they're oppressed because someone posted something that hurts their feelings or saying they can't reblog something because they don't want autists reblogging their shit.

You pretty much hit all the key points. People who are seriously into the BDSM community are responsible adults with rules and guidelines to make it consensual for everyone. They don't go around in public in bondage gear 24/7 or try to force their kink on others the way DD/LG fetishists seem to love to do.

BDSM can be a lifestyle choice, but most people keep it private unless it's relevant, and make sure to weed out abusers. For example, the BDSM community was pissed about 50 Shades of Grey because it portrays a really abusive, one-sided, unhealthy relationship. Sure actual abusive people slip through the cracks, but in the DD/LG world it seems like every Daddy is a fucking asshole.

I just can't imagine living my entire life in a kink. Don't they ever get tired of it? Don't they ever want to just act like an adult and say "Hey I have real feelings and thoughts and I'm not 12 so let's talk"?

that's only half true. that age of consent refers to other teenagers, the partner has to be under 18, too (or even under 16? not sure but def under 18). though why an 18 year old would want to fuck a 14 year old is becond me, well I know it's pedophilia but yeaaah.

besides germany doesn't really have a concept of consent, just leaving that here

Yeah, the law is a little bit more detailed when it comes to the age of consent, that's true.
 
I used to be a part of that community and after having my eyes actually opened to the kinks dark sides (that Austin Jones crap really helped perspectively see things) I tried to get as far away as possible. The child grooming is atrocious and the men and women who use it as an excuse to hide behind their pedophilia need to stop. It seems to be all trannies that i know have some sort of daddy kink for some reason. One of the people in a group text of mine is dead serious about a sugar daddy. The other one is dating a transtrender and keeps getting called daddy by his "nonbinary" transtrender boyfriend.

Many people with paraphilias (such as pedophilia) also have unnaturally high sex drives, which is one of the big reasons we can't just let pedophiles have access to things that encourage their sexuality (such as "child sex dolls"- "it's okay because it's not real!" NO IT'S NOT).

I believe that there are many different types of these DDLG people, but a certain subset of them are absolutely using it to channel pedophilic urges. Some of them are simply into the taboo-ness of what they're doing, some are doing it out of other mental illness, and some are into it because they want someone else to make all the decisions for them. It's fucked up no matter how you slice it.

EDIT: Also, people with lower IQ tend to have higher sex drives. Make of that what you will.

I wonder if some of these Littles are into it for the simplicity of having little to no responsibility. In other words, they get to live out a twisted version of their childhood again forever. While Daddy works the Little stays at home doing chores, watching cartoons, playing video games, snuggling with her bears and coloring. She may be 19 or 25 or 30, but she'll never have to face the harsh adult world since she's under Daddy's parental care.
