For all the idiots ITT who believe in shooting people in the legs or something stupid like that:
If you carry a gun and someone attacks you out of nowhere and you want to survive, then shoot ASAP.

That's not what a warning shot is. A warning shot would be shooting in someone's general direction and not trying to hit them. Saying you have a gun is not the same as using it.
