As much as I yearn to scratch my schadenfreude itch again after he gets out, I believe what would be the best for both Daniel himself and the rest of the community in Colorado is permanent supervised care in a mental facility (as corrupt as those can be sometimes, but hey, better than the slammer). In the mental institution they'd definitely take away his phone or internet access so he doesn't get his delusions fed further by retarded lowlife trolls and also perhaps actually make him grow ever so slightly more socially adjusted. He clearly isn't close to intelligent or mentally competent enough to take care of himself independently and not get into more trouble.

Colorado Supreme Court just upheld a law in Boulder that allows police to ticket homeless people who are asleep in the public with only their clothes.
I don't know Daniel's previous sleeping situations in Boulder but I don't see him being able to get a tent or anything to sleep in.

Yeah so one thing about schizophrenia is that a significant percentage (but not even close to all; see Terry Davis) experience a significant drop in IQ when they become schizophrenic. It can be like 20 IQ points, and antipsychotics don’t bring it back up.

Danderson was already in Special Ed before the schizophrenia started. I think he lost a few more IQ points but maybe there’s some kind of floor that he hit because he wasn’t starting from a very high point to begin with. Or perhaps the reduction is actually a percentage.
