I'll never need to wonder about that.
The only thing worse for Dave than living with a depressed elephant seal who hates him is living by himself. He'd be actively drinking himself to death right now if it weren't for Kat being both there and a miserable, disapproving, sour-faced cunt. At this point she's literally just a beard for an incel who can't get it up, and he knows he can't expect anything better than that from a relationship, nor should he, because he's a useless lover (at least according to Leanner) and a petulant narcissist who only cares about people insofar as he can use them to prop himself up (according to anyone who has been paying attention). Kat doesn't even have to do any of her soulmaid duties like cook, clean or run "errands", because I think she's clocked that these are extra tasks that, while they may have been agreed to be in the job description, are stipulated in the fine print to be optional. She also doesn't like anything, so he doesn't need to make an effort, and I really can't overstate how much of a huge bonus that is for Dave.
So, they're never breaking up. They're both too sedentary and entrenched for that, and they have nothing of value to break up from or to. It's a fucking soul sucking miserable existence that I wouldn't wish on anyone, and I'm excited to see where it goes from here.
