I think it's wild that the only reason anyone on this planet knows Phil is still alive is because a bunch of autists on an internet forum keep checking his WWE Champions account for activity.

Imagine if OIC finally snapped and murdered Phil and Khet and sat their corpses down on the dining room chairs pretending to have dinner with them, making sure to log into Champions every day to throw off the scent that something's wrong. Since Phail and Khet never leave the house and their khando probably reeks like death by default, none of the neighbors think that there's something out of the ordinary going on.

Since DSP has a lot of liquid cash, going to Connecticut/Honeymoon/Vacation are all possible.
If I had to hedge my bets, the Connecticut trip is most likely due to his emotional breakdown and the DM leaks.
Or maybe Kat forced him to go on a honeymoon/vacation.

Given how little money he generally has at any given time (according to bankruptcy/leaks) if he whaled on it over the weekend he'd be sitting on low money going into the "unplanned" absence.
If Phil whaled on the event, this may actually unplanned.
If Phil didn't whale on the event, it's possible that there was some level of preparation for being away for some time.

Nevermind the fact that any normal person wouldn't have a need for the web of lies and would just say "hey I'm taking some time away, I'll be back in X days". Literally no one would care if you take time off, you don't have to lie and be sneaky about it. This will only cause people to be more curious about what's going on and will motivate people to dig more into your shit to try to figure out what's going on.
