While I don’t believe that any debt he has is quite as high as said here, I also don’t think he’s as well off as someone who makes the money he makes a year should be.

There's an extremely high chance both of those statements are true.

Phil has three distinctive characteristics that make him a cow in the first place: 1) He acts like being late on a payment means guys in black suits will show up and throw him in debtor's prison, and he's been caught in lies many times about these debts. 2) Despite making a much higher salary than the average person his age (for doing little work), he still finds a way to whine for money nearly constantly and has a platform to do so. 3) Every time his alleged debts are about to allegedly destroy him, some random idiot comes along and throws thousands of dollars at him, thus pissing off those waiting to see him finally fail.

Technically what DSP does isn't begging. It's aggressive busking.

I've never had a guy playing his Strat on the corner come up to me mid-chorus and tell me he's on the verge of losing his house while rattling his case at me and hoping someone will donate a Gibson Les Paul Custom so he can improve his bizness. Also anyone playing any instrument on the street who's making decent money at it already has way more discernible talent than DSP. He's more like a Televangelist.. those of purest heart and ahnest faith shall give me monies.

Of course this dood is in dire straits, financially. It's basically impossible not to be.

Also, look at his behavior now; it is so much different from how he used to be (pre-Washington). He didn't used to be this... well, you can call it ultra-greedy, but it's more like pure desperation. Something changed dramatically once he moved to Washington, and it's not his personality. And do you know why? Because DSP doesn't change.

Phil's defining traits are his cowardice, his shamelessness, his near constant state of living in delusions and his hypocrisy. Despite the dude having an ego the size of Jupiter he's not above begging just to avoid not having a formal work/to avoid real life interaction because like someone pointed out posts above me he doesn't think he's begging, not from his deluded perspective. It's not that hard to see through his supposed financial crisises (crisisi? crisise?) for what they are (panhandling for completely stupid shit and luxury items) if you keep that in mind.

i mean, you're not wrong, he thinks he's safe (and someone in twitch seems to be bending over for him, so he just might be). but it seems every day he's insulting and raging at someone. his only saving grace is that he's a nobody, a mere speck, a joke who just happens to attract stupid whales who love throwing money at him.

But he will play maybe one song, and it's always the same song that's really simple to play(I can't think of anything so feel free to insert whatever there).

He will always be at the same corner with that same TIP ME jar right in front of him, watching everyone walk past him while having huge resentment because they didn't put the minimum tip of $5 dollars. Some will tell him that he sucks at guitar but he will remind them that he won 4th place and that they don't know what they are talking about because they lack fundamentals. Some will ask if will play anything else but he will tell them a strict NO.

Then when it precisely hits the 30 minute before his shift ends, he will announce to anyone else around him that there are 30 minutes left in his performance. When it hits 4 P.M. sharp, he will pack up his guitar and tip jar, and walk down one block and get in his new Toyota and drive back home.

Isn't Twitch pro wamyn? Make a shitty video where they supposebly go all out for females and next to it put clips of Dave abusing Panda Lee, talking shit about wamyn (Like example that YT Jew wamyn in charge, other streamers) and some rage and begging for irony. If Phil declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy, he would be absolutely fine. He has enough money coming in from Twitch/YouTube that he'd be able to stay afloat, though in far less extravagant style.

But, hilariously, because Phil makes so much god damn money each month, he'd probably have to file Chapter 13, where he has five years to pay back his debts, where all but his most vital assets (car) would be liquidated, and has a percentage of his income skimmed to go towards debt payment. (A percentage that he has no control over.) He also wouldn't be able to have any credit opened in his name, or buy a new car, or a new home.

I'm no expert, but maybe Phil should just stop begging, so that he could lower his income, allowing him to file Chapter 7, lose everything, move back in with his parents for a couple years, and start over. Because the way he's going right now, he's a candidate for Chapter 13, which would fully devastate his life.

His only alternative is to keep on begging and keep his head juuuuuuust above water, forever.

I agree that Phil should never be taken at his word when he's talking about finances, especially when he's listing specific numbers since even he's admitted they're just guesses and estimates. We do have a general idea of how much he makes based on tracking subs and donations and other public online payments. Granted, there might be some behind the scenes payments we don't know about, but I think most paypigs are public about it for the bragging rights or whatever.

But, there's also plenty of proof of Phil financially struggling. The most recent things that come to mind are the 4k TV, PS4 pro and talks of wanting to take a vacation. Phil was fishing for money for these items for awhile. Part of that is for sure panhandling and begging, but compare it to Phil dropping an absurd amount of money on headphones without doing any real begging for them. I think this is indicative of Phil's general spending habits. If he wants something and has the money on hand, he'll snap it up in an instant. If he can't, he'll bitch and moan about it until that next paycheck comes in and he can finally buy what he wants on his own, debt and other payments be damned.

For me, this is actually one of the most interesting mysterious about Phil. He's a shut in hermit who spends a good chunk of his day online, and the parts he isn't online for he's pretty transparent about. I think it's pretty safe to say he isn't using his earnings to put anything more than the minimum payment on his debt, so what kind of frivolous overpriced garbage is he buying? He barely has any hobbies to speak of, just drinking gin, watching wrestling and watching old shows/movies on Netflix. In reality, the answer is probably disappointing, much like most things about Phil. I wouldn't be surprised if he's still indulging in pay to win games and impulse buying video game related memorabilia or other stupid stuff he sees in those rare moments he waddles out of the gout mansion. Maybe the odd item to keep Kat appeased. I also imagine he buys any of those items he sometimes posts on instagram, but he doesn't own up to it when he's met with a wave of negative responses of people talking about how stupid it is to buy given his financial situation.

Well, the bottom line is, that every month is different.
Like, for example, some months are better than others, and it depends all on how things go on streams! Like, people don't realize the big impact, that, like, the big impact that these things have! You know?
One month, streams could go really good. YouTube could go good. And if that's the case, then, you know, it's not that big of a deal. This, what happens right now, it's been really tight recently, because a few factors. You know?
Number one: I just had the worst month of YouTube ever! And that's not an exaggeration. It really was the worst month I've ever had on YouTube! Uhm. *LIP SMACK!* And that- I'm gonna get that income soon, but it's gonna be very little, compared to what I usually make.
Number two: during the Holiday Gaming Season, I ALMOST ALWAYS have- actually I take it back, I ALWAYS had made more money! Every Holiday Gaming Season, because there's more games out, and the like. This year's the first year I made only the same amount, as I was making before! Like, I actually saw ZERO INCREASE in what I was doing, uhm, on YouTube at all! Like, it was basically, the same as usual. Which sucks, cuz I always get that next big holiday boost. And I got nothing this year!
So, here I am, trying to make ends meet. At the end of the year, I get a lot of extra bills! I get a sewer tax bill! I get my state tax bill! I get all these bills, that are out of the normal, that normally I wouldn't have to pay monthly. I get them all the end of the year, and I didn't get any *T-POSE* of the increased income, that I usually get the end of the year, to help pay them!!
So, it sucked it!
It all hit me, like, *T-POSE. LOOKS UP TO JESUS* 'Fuck! Where's this money gonna come from?!'
