He's been complaining that he can't get appointments and doctors aren't taking him seriously.
He thinks doctors don't believe his condition is real. The doctors are probably right. Dax has been a quasi-celebrity, milking the manosphere dudebros with daddy issues for years. He's rapidly losing the focus in his life, he is no longer the center of attention. And while he's realizing this by going to those classes hospitals ask you to go to if you are a new parent, he develops this mysterious condition.

No good doctor will believe this is anything but psychosomatic.

Why would he make up such a thing? Don’t you remember all his real injuries that really happened when Ralph invited him Portugal, when he left Ralph’s bowling alley event halfway through, when Ralph invited him to Portugal a second time, and almost every time Ralph has invited himself to Dick’s house?
