Getting real tired of see bitch made wannabe tough guys like Vito saying fucked up shit and then trying to back away the moment he smells a whiff of smoke, fucking fat clown thinking that the classic internet apology will save him is hilarious because of how asinine it is thinking it would save him.
Same deal with Dick and thinking he is a transcendent comedic genius that few could ever hope to understand when he's nothing but obnoxious asshole that thinks getting a rise out of people makes him funny. Then shouts and screams that people are mad when he's litterally malding before people's eyes.
The more their fuckery is recorded the more it's clear that these are some of the dumbest, most immature people online that shouldn't be given any attention at all unless they become too much to ignore and have to be dealt with. The issue with Vito and Dax saying it’s a joke is what others have brought up. Norm MacDonald (RIP) was a comic who was obsessed with taboo and morbid things.
The difference is that Norm could actually create an atmosphere where him saying “9/11” by itself was funny because he set up. His first show was him, his co-host, and his guest, Bob Einstein (Marty Funkhauser in Curb Your Enthusiasm, RIP) were they made a baby rape joke, giving a black slave gold chains, Holocaust jokes, and other shit.
The difference is that Bob Einstein was playing a character for Norm’s show, the co-host acting ashamed is part of the hit, and Norm delivered the jokes well (the joke was the jokes were horribly and grossly offensively crafted, but the situation of being the first episode and the guest being disgusted was great).
What is Vito and Mr. Girl’s punchline beyond “I was pretending to be retarded” or “ha I made you angry by holding a belief that would get you strung up anywhere else”? Dick isn’t the second guy reacting to these in a comedic fashion or setting up a joke.
Vito says he wants to rape a child, people call him a gross pedo, and Dax smirks about making people mad? That’s just the pretending to be retarded bit.
The current shit is worse because it’s Dax and Vito being actively malicious while saying they’re joking. You can bruise someone’s ego without trying to rope them into a lawsuit brought on by your actions.

I also grew up on 4chan. I was literally 12 years old when I started looking at /b/. I was exposed to a lot and I was desensitized to it. At that time, there was a meme called pedobear imported from Japanese 2ch. The joke was he was a bear and he was a pedophile. That's it.
Despite this I have never said anything like Vito has because there is implicit understanding it is terrible to say. Having been paying attention for a few days now, but I love how Vito has to stick the addendum of "fake libertarians" to label his critics. Because he knows Dick is (or at least calls himself) libertarian and he can't just label everyone as right wing or libertarian, but he still wants to lash out at ComicsGate people by saying "they're not *really* libertarians like my good friend Dax Herrera, they just like to talk about Brie Larson and Bud Light all day"
What I like about this clip is Dick saying "it's never going to go away", but he doesn't seem to think it's a bad thing. Like yes, it will never go away. Vito will forever be permanently attached towards the idea of being a pedophile and it's entirely his own doing. It’s a Simpsons reference. In the episode Maddax is referencing, Troy McClure is middle aged and has a bunch of wrinkles. It’s a self deprecating joke and nothing more.
A big factor is that people have known and liked Norm and Bob for decades and have the comedic chops and decades of experience to pull it off. Dax and Vito are zilches who hope to pretend it’s comedy as a measure to cover their fat asses the moment the heat gets too hot.
