Technically the best way to win a gunfight is to trick the other party into believing you're not there, then shoot them in the back when they're not looking.
This whole obsession with CQB is pretty gay though. Not even the military engages in CQB very often. You don't see anyone in Ukraine clearing buildings room by room, they just collapse the house with explosives. Not to mention that CQB-oriented kits are very bulky in the chest area, making it difficult to go prone which is something you'll be doing very often if taking fire. You'll wish you didn't add that extra admin pouch that takes away precious inches from getting closer to the ground.
As a civilian you may not have access to explosives, but you do have access to gasoline, right? Set the structure on fire and shoot anyone who leaves. In self defense of course.
And Lucas is just there to make money, nobody should take him seriously. If you're a civilian, most of it is useless to you. If you're a professional, you have access to better training.
