We have lost so much good content due to the talentless hacks they hired as writers over the years who were more focused on making everything gay and lame to not understand that the mystery was part of the appeal to the franchise. They turned Clovis Bray into a caricature of a grumpy old man obsessed with his legacy, killed off the warmind, the thing that had survuved the first invasion, made the hive into misunderstood innocent little space bugs that got tricked and the worm gods into powerless hostages. And don't get me started on the enormous disappointment that was Neomuna. Destiny 2 is probably going to be studied in the future as a masterclass in fumbling one of the most unique space opera IP's ever. Let's hope that a decade from now Sony decides to revive the IP with a competent team of writers that are able to undo this damage.

Man I miss the early D2 days, met some of my closest friends through it. Even though it went to shit I’ll always appreciate the time I spent in it and the fun it brought. If they brought back all the content I’d probably pick it up again and run through story one more time with the friends for old time sakes but that’s not gonna happen sadly
