I know it’s concept art and thus would’ve been more streamlined, but the fat kid is giving me such tumblr OC vibes, especially with how over designed she is. What a mess.
That character design is so unappealing that I’m genuinely in awe. But I guess this is the same company that put out Elio and thought “yeah kids will probably think he looks cool”

Looks like Hoppers surpasses Wild Robot in terms of Box Office budgets.

To be fair The Wild Robot had a budget of 78 million and that makes its 334 million box office return more worthwhile for Dreamworks even after factoring in marketing costs.

Meanwhile, Hoppers may have made 354 million at the box office but it’s against a budget of 150 million plus marketing. It’s another Elemental but it’s a bit fairer since a good chunk of that 354 million is from the domestic market.

thank fucking fuck K-Pop Demon Hunters was so successful, thus raised the bar for female protags in kids movies.

Let's go back to pretty ladies and romance, plz

This was on my Timeline on X.

It's only successful because of the talking animals aspect. Kids dgaf about the human/environmentalist parts of the movie.

If it was only the fugly designed humans no one would have gone. But this person is too retarded to realize that

I'm actually watching Hoppers right now with some kids and they keep asking when she's going to turn into a beaver lmao, they hate the protag.

I want handsome male characters back. Disney has at least continued to make Rapunzel clones with varying skin tones even while Pixar has beaten everyone with the hideous stick. What was the last good looking guy Disney or Pixar made? Flynn Rider?

Stop the hideous potato noses!

Finished Hoppers. It was an eyesore.

Note to current Disney Animation employees:

This wasn't meant to be character design advice.

Does the silver fox count? I remember girls finding him attractive.

If he was a good guy I would give points for it but they conspicuously cut the good looking good guy and left the good looking bad guy so no points.

The True Hero of the movie

Not allowing every wish is actually a good thing
Disney bragging about how they'd finally returned to the classic "irredeemable unsympathetic villain" formula with Wish only for Magnifico to be a genuinely good man and the single most sympathetic character in the entire movie still cracks me the fuck up to this day.

Once after the Bluey Movie comes out, Do ya'll think Bluey will regain its popularity by the time Season 4 comes out, or will something it dethorne it?
Being a parent and having been to Disneyland recently, Bluey is still extremely popular. The Bluey area is PACKED, and every other kid is wearing a Bluey item in general at the parks.

It's almost as if current Disney creatives and execs genuinely don't understand basic human morality. If that's the case there's no need to speculate on whether Disney will choose to again appeal to the general audience. They couldn't even if they wanted to as they don't understand the general audience at the most fundamental level. Welcome to the inevitable consequence of living in a bubble of smug.

While the Fantasyland Theatre is packed because of the Bluey stage show an unsurprising-but-still-disturbingly large amount of the folks going there that don't have kids. I also see a lot of the Bluey sippers in the hands of childless adults too.
