Total runtime of the first season of the netflix show is longer than the first season of the cartoon fyiThey do only have 8 episodes to work with so it's even more rushed than Shyamalan's movie.
from just watching e;r's video, i knew the rest of it was going to be absolute dogshit (what am i saying, i thought it'd be since i heard it was coming out)Finished it, Jesus the cope of "at least it wasn't Shamalyian" was strong.

good thing i never bothered
I remember how people thought Netflix specials used to be promising.I knew from the Netflix logo.
It's pretty crazy how bad writing has become the last two decades. I would bet that even if the team behind it brought the original writers they still had like 10 women and troons on the writing table dictating to make it dumber so even the most braindead pajeet could understand what's happening.
This, so much this. That Aang is telling me "I don't want to be the avatar, I'm a fun loving kid that eats pie!" instead of showing me that with him playing some pranks or playing with the other air temple kids instead of flying like a faggot is what makes this so wretched. The decision isn't between tedious flashbacks or stilted exposition. Well-written dialogue can explain things without being expository.
And this is beyond fucking depressing, that it had a longer runtime yet is so incredibly clumsy at presenting character motivations. Because I assume they skipped all of the little moments like going to islands to fuck around while Aang was still in full "avoid responsability" mode yet they had more incredibly pointless scenes like Souzen's exposition dump with the earthbender spies. We don't need to know the comet is a thing at the start, we just have to know that the airbenders got whiped out. That just felt like overexplaining stuff that doesn't need overexplaining like if they saw the lolocaust memes about the airbenders, same deal with "aaaaall the airbenders happened to be in the south temple that day!". Keep it a mystery WHY they were able to take them down because Soka discovering the comets effect in the library was THE turning point of actual understanding.Total runtime of the first season of the netflix show is longer than the first season of the cartoon fyi
When? Netflix's reputation was always 'Television by Committee.' Its shows never had any real vision, nothing that made them special. They were just a bunch of elements mashed together to compete with existing shows/networks. I remember specifically when Orange and House of Cards came out, and the reaction was basically, "They're good, but..."I remember how people thought Netflix specials used to be promising.
I think what he was going for is literally the exact opposite, "You thought shamalyian was bad?"Finished it, Jesus the cope of "at least it wasn't Shamalyian" was strong.
exactly, "They're good, but..."
for a moment, i thought the netflix adaption was a movie or something because holy shitHOLY SHIT, SHOW DON'T TELL, CAN'T YOU FUCKERS WRITE?
The video being this funny definitely gives it enough merit to exist but to this day Korra S3/4 have this undeserved reputation of it actually being good unlike S1/2 so another book of Korra getting shat on is far more important than another dunking fest on something everyone already agrees is trash imo.Newest video is very good. I, for one, am glad to see a rant about another Avatar-related dumpster fire that is way more interesting to look at (even if it boils down mostly to "HOLY SHIT, SHOW DON'T TELL, CAN'T YOU FUCKERS WRITE?") than another book of Whorra.
Agreed. It did get me to finally go "fuck it" and rewatch the show though. In season 1 episode 15 and really enjoying the revisit. Even the Great Divide I found enjoyable and that the real life show shat on the possibility of doing something like The Storm speaks volumes about their infinite retardation.TL;DR: He made some good points but he shouldn't have turned them into running gags or whatever he tried to do.
Null played dustborn all the way through, so whats your point? Are you new to the idea of hate watching / playing?haha look how bad this game is >plays it for hours and hours
