lad that's just an retail gamestore offer event unrelated to the whole thing, especially when the offer is ending on the next four days after the direct.

Switch Pro-fags are truly getting desperate

LOL, 350 dollar credit for a Ps5. You can sell that thing for close to a grand.

The word New is capitalized. The marketing material wouldn't make a mistake like that.
Please do not take it personally but my comment about people desperately going about the Switch Pro model was that they kept the same refrain of "it's really happening guys" for years, and even doubled down in the last month, but were wrong every single time. It's the old tale of the boy who cried wolf at this point.

Not to mention pre-orders would go for months in advance in the scenario a new model were to come out, not merely 4 days after a direct which was described to be software-exclusive nonetheless.

It's basically a meme at this point. The people sperging out about it are equally as hilarious as the autistic individuals who get mad people talk about it, case and point: @X Pac Heat

Have they moved past the rhetoric that the xbox is not for 'muh gaming' but an overpriced multimedia system for watching netflix and blu rays
Microsoft has moved on from that Mattrick era a long time ago. Phil Spencer even acknowledged it in one of the conferences saying: "games, games, games".

Yeah, I’m going to hedge my bets and say this is a marketing error.

that’s still a marketing mistake, though?

You are arguing that a marketing team accidentally posted marketing material suggesting that a new console was on the horizon with a sales campaign that started before the console could have possibly been announced,

everyone else is arguing that a GameStop employee accidentally capitalised an N.

The only reason they'd run a promotion is with a new hardware SKU somewhere on the horizon. It may not be a new hardware revision, it might just be a limited edition recolor which has happened in the past and they've run a trade in promotion with it.

OR they could just be running a promotion for hardware to go along with all that new software that’s currently being announced. You know, “hey, if you don’t have the console you need for this game you liked yet, here’s a great deal to get it now!”

edit: I mean, it’s not like we’re in the fucking thread about the show where so many companies announce games at once.

Ebay also banned VNs and a load of other games.

That just encourages piracy.

The wording is weird but maybe some idiot just screwed up?

I think they mean a New Switch, Switch Lite or Xbox. It could even be intentionally misleading to get you excited about the promotion.

Read the fine print at the bottom.
Edit: It's for store credit, so they're essentially wanting you to pawn off your switch months before release.

It's E3, GameStop wants to make money. "Sell your old consoles to us and you get a new console (aka non refurbished)".
