Elliot Page / Ellen Page - Former actress, starred in Juno. Turned into a pooner and divorced her wife because being a lesbian was not boosting her career anymore. Receives a daily dose of asspatting from Hollywood. Likes to show off her "male" body using fake abdominals.

Imagine writing a whole-ass book about how deranged you've been and making actual lists of the well-known ways people hurt themselves to cope and STILL not realizing that
5. Troon out and cut your tits off
is just another thing on the list.

It's like someone writing a book about how not to be taken advantage of financially (and by the way, they've found security and are thriving in their new partnership with Herbalife and Lularoe!)

This is possibly the worst and most batshit insane thing I read in this book yet. Just what the hell.

every woman who is even minorly famous attracts several stalkers. more famous men do as well. it isn't something people budget for when they let (or force) their kids into showbusiness.
And finally, she ended the chapter crying about his daddy getting reasonably angry at her for talking to a creepy old man online when she needed protection. Again reassuring that what her father told her is even worse than whatever that creep wrote to her into those DMs.

the ironic thing is that page's dad treated her exactly like a boy in this instance, and she is deeply resentful of him for that. I am struggling to picture a 15 or 16 year old boy voicing these complaints, and the only way I can do it is if the boy has a really faggy lisp.

Jeanette McCurdy talks about a disembodied voice telling her not to eat, and perform OCD rituals, in her memoir of being a child actor I'm Glad my Mom Died. I don't think Ellen and Jeanette are actual schizos, but I think having to be constantly thinking of how others see you at such a formative age probably induces a sort of schizo-like paranoia and could induce other symptoms. Schizophrenia is very culturally bound; in Africa it's often friendly voices giving advice, and in the west it's sometimes linked to having narcissistic parents, which Jeannette did.

Considering they let her be a child actor, I have a hard time believing that Ellen's parents were just nice people who didn't know what they were getting her into. You might not know how corrupt the industry is but you know that the job involves spending long hours around many unrelated adults, and everyone knows what those obvious risks are. I think then going 'you fucking moron, getting into a bad situation with an unrelated adult man!!' is shutting the barn door after the horse is bolted. Everyone she knows is an unrelated adult, it's hollywood, she's had to socialise with these adults to network and advance her career for several years at that point after you let her make it her career as a 11 year old. What did you think was going to happen?

This is why I think it’s asking for trouble to go straight from “I’m trans!” to writing a book about it. But I suppose they wanted to cash in while everyone was still talking about it.

Did Page get permission from Creed to use lyrics in her book?

Bet she thinks being trans and a celebrity will protect her should Creed find this out.
I have zero clue as to whether or not Ellen had any permission from either Scott Stapp or UMG, but I do know that unironically listening to the band and enjoying it is automatic cringe territory, even back then as it became an easy joke. See also that skit from MadTV

It's especially terrible, because the only thing that can make detransition seem less like an option (and so 41% like the only option) is to not only troon out aggressively and in public but to do it in writing and tie your whole life explanations to it. I'm a strong believer in detransitioning and being true to yourself and loved ones at any stage, no matter how mutilated and invested a person is. But idk how a person walks back a book about how their whole life points to troondom, with their photo on the cover.
Then again, Dionne Warwick did the psychic thing and Roseanne Barr did the incest claim thing and Shirley McClaine did the reincarnation and UFO thing. So who tf knows?

I'm no console geek but I'm pretty sure Super Mario Bros could only be played on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, not the original Nintendo Entertainment System.
That was super mario world, you got nerd-mogged by a pooner...

At one point there's no turning back, and that point tends to be bottom surgery.

In some cases for women its T leaving them sterile, but hey at least they can still bang, maybe IVF, but if she got a hysterectomy and a rotdog its all over, same with trannies getting a stinkditch, sunk cost fallacy and all that.

A sequel, called 'Turning the Page', about becoming a massive fucking terf. (She's 5"1). Maybe promote it with an online interview with Keira Bell, see where she's at now. I'd buy it / watch.

People like redemption arcs, people hate tranny shit, people like famous people owning their mistakes in public...I think it could work. Like 2-5 years from now though at least.

Sheesh, even Chris looked better in his dying days.
OT but you just triggered a memory for me.
Does anyone remember the murder of Alex Woodworth in 2018? It was done by a nutty girl who had renamed herself Ezra McCandless (Originally Monica Kay) after her obsession with Chris McCandless. She stabbed the guy, her ex-boyfriend, 16 times.

This Ezra was also a gender special; there seems to be a lot of FTMs who love McCandless.

The way she talks about hating girl clothes - but gets very specific about the sensation of tights and barrettes in her hair, plus the thing about not being able to handle food that wasn't "simple" not even joking sounds autistic af. Autistic girl to tif pipeline. Many such cases.

And now, she starts talking about her dating experience with guys. This time with a guy called Justin.

I'm so stuck on "a flutter in my lower back." It's like an alien trying to describe human experience.

How does this self-mutilating pooner who smiles like she’s proudly got a mouth full of bees always manage to look like the product of an inexperienced mortician? The uncanniness of her would stand out in a wax museum.

I can’t wait for the follow-up book (released to coincide with some insistence that she’s actually a gay man, or Borg, or whatever else allows her to fleetingly escape herself) to contradict all these cringe-inducing excerpts from the previous ego trip being posted - She obviously lied her tits off in the course of straining to portray herself as the underdog in every interaction of her life as a famous, wealthy hole with an IMAX forehead.

Now - even though every subsequent step in her career is going to be for the sake of avoiding doing porn -, I maintain that we have the perfect Christopher Robin for This Isn’t Winnie the Pooh!.

Detransitioning? Possibly. Owning up to her mistakes in public, doing real work on herself, taking some responsibility? Press X to doubt. It'll just be "Ellen the Sequel: An entirely new narrative that I'm insisting is the really REALLY real truth this time (but it's still everyone else's fault and I have done nothing wrong in my life)"

(I'll refrain from a PL for now buuut) it's not autism. That's her Buddhist "not like the other girls" coming through. The Halifax sect really get off on how they're better than normies because of superior lifestyle choices like minimalism, and unabashed nepotism
